I stumbled on this old thread by accident but the pedant in me (the NHS will not fund the surgical removal of this annoying parasite) has to point out that Hitler was not a Vegetarian.
He did want to improve the conditions in which food animals were kept and was fond of dogs but he DID eat meat (not dogs though).
He also was responsible for the deaths of millions of humans and enjoyed watching people hung on piano wire.
Trying to be nice to animals doesn't necessarily equate to trying to be nice to people but there again it doesn't exclude it either.
I for one try to be nice to animals and watching people hung on piano wire really does nothing for me, like golf it's not my thing (not even crazy golf).
