“My new powers.”
And then he flies them both off into the sunset.
Which is unfortunate because it then means A New Hope can never be made.
Are you implying the prequel trilogy is related at all with the original trilogy?

It’s a joke related to a thread in off-topic.
ROTS does end in a sunset. I guess it means the story is clearly over.
Yeah but I think that bit was actually filmed for AOTC so I don’t think ROTS was ever planned to be made either.

Of course. Then there’s Star Wars, which starts a different, completely unrelated story. Anyone telling you there’s a connection between these two movies is lying.

Nope, Lucas filmed the scene twice: first when producing AotC, so he wouldn’t need to travel again a few years later, then during production of RotS.
They’re making the same joke I was.

Lol
I would put this in my sig if I weren’t so lazy.
The sad part about that is it actually would have been (in my opinion) quite powerful if he had just said “Love won’t save you” and just left it at that.
Agreed.
Mustafar looked mostly okay. If the prequels had told their story effectively then the effects would be forgivable. There are some really crappy effects in Return of the Jedi but the movie is interesting so it’s okay.
I’d take RotS over RotJ any day, but I realize I’m in the minority here.
I’m with ya.
Not enough people read the EU.
Though I’m currently at work constructing a time machine for the sole purpose of travelling back to 1982 to prevent the filming of ROTJ, I would never place it beneath that “movie”.

Why.

A fanedited RoTS, maybe. But they’re awfully close.
disagree. theatrical rotj is good. darthrush’s rotj is great.

Nah.
I actually care about the characters in RotJ, so that’s a plus. Han was underused, though. I don’t give a shit about Anakin.

I’m blushing 😃
I also wish I could enjoy it as much as some of you.

Nah.
I presume you’re only referring to the former. You’re allowed to selectively quote.
Ah, yeah, sorry, I forgot to remove the latter, which I haven’t seen. Although I’m quite skeptical about how much can fan editors fix bad Star Wars movies. I said this because, even with radical edits like Blackened Mantle, there’s still too many technical limitations and unavailability of resources. But who knows, maybe darthrush’s RotJ is great.

Guess what, you can just ignore it. It’s selfish to take it away from other people who enjoy it.
If I had a time machine I wouldn’t use it to get rid of David Lynch.

FFS, I was just joking — caricaturizing my own dislike of ROTJ. Or do you seriously believe I’m building a time machine?

I believe that if you had the ability to build a time machine, you would definitely use it to stop ROTJ from being made.

Actually, if I had a time machine, I’d go back to 2001 and prevent my life from becoming a shambles.

Sounds like your second stop to me. I think you’re downplaying your ROTJ loathing.
