Looking for advice on current software recommendations to edit audio with video - (both systems OS’s)

Anything reliable that’s worked for you? I have to pull audio files in and match up with video, high end apps are ok, but the workload process doesn’t seem too involved.

I’ve been using Adobe Premiere for years and it rarely steers me wrong. It’s available on both Windows and OS X.
