Moore, who previously stated his support for Internet downloading, denies leaking the video himself and an investigation has been held as to the source of the Internet leak. When asked about the leak, Moore said:

I don't think any of them were ever asked directly, afaik, and why would they send their children off? I've said it before, no one sends their children to war. People must be 18 to join and go off to war. At that point, they may still be your children, but we consider them adults capable of making their own choices. Why would anyone tell their adult children "Hey, I think you should join the military and go fight in a war". Maybe he should've asked them if they'd stop their children from joining the military.
