Denmark will be one of my destinations when Katie and I finally take our Eurotrip. Dunno when that will happen, but I will definitely let you know Motti. If you can handle drinking with my wife.

CAn I ask you Yanks about something?
I've always wanted to know this.......

Right.

In most American films, and real American TV, stuff like a big 'Star Wars' film premire or something. Do the people in in the audience(spelling is shit, I'm stoned) really make that much noise?? With all ths whistling and shouting and shit?
I mean when a film starts, do you really start shouting and whistling?
That would really piss me off!!

I can't stand people making noises during the film! I get well pissed off about that!!

Man!!

So do you??

No. Not as a habit, that is. You will run into the occasional ignoramus who just won't shut up. Or the screaming kid whose parents refuse to take him out of the theater. But, as a rule, people are quiet.

Well, I guess there are certain occasions when people clap and cheer. But they are very few and far between.

I've seen both TPM and AOTC in it's midnight pre-opening days (before you guys did, because of the time zone!), and in both the reactions were something like that, because the theater was full of SW fans and geeks, no "normal" person. In TPM I remember people booing when "A long time ago" appeared onscreen because Lucasarts translated it, people going "yay" when the Star Wars logo appears. After that, a mordib silence fell on the theater, for obvious reasons.

On AOTC it was even funnier. People went crazy on the star wars logos again, I could hear some "oh no's" over the audience when Jar Jar appeared. People laughed when Palpatine said he "loved the republic" or something like that (regular audiences didn't even understand it), and they were all excited (there were some laughs) when Yoda fights Dooku. And I remember some people silently going "wow cool the death star" when the death star plans appeared (which is my favorite prequels moment). Hehehe there was this guy with a Bobba Fett helmet, I wonder if he took it of to see the movie. Can't wait to see what'll happen when episode 3 ends. I predict massive riots on the streets, followed by a violent bloodbath.

And... why does people applaud a movie? The actors are not there! There's nothing there! It's only light on a screen!

Oh damn. But by 2005 I'll be living in the Fiji islands, so I'll watch it first. I'd like to go to Japan, but Japan always releases SW movies a few months later.

You mean episode 3 will be released at the same time everywhere, like Matrix Revolutions was? No more midnight pre-opening screenings?

I can't believe that they would actually commit themselves to anything this far in advance. I'll hold out until a month in advance and then start taking them at their word.

I know they're planning to unveil the IMAX version @ the same time, much like Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions. As far as the rest of the world goes, they're planning on following release pattern traditions for each country: May in North America, June in Japan, and so forth.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

It'll be released at the same time in most countries, which is a good idea too avoid piracy - if you wait too much to release a movie, soon people will get tired of the waiting and simply download it.

I've been a SW geek since 2001, when I successfully inserted the line "kessle run in less than 12 parsecs" in a business meeting.
