That being said, I'll keep waiting for a torrent to appear of the DVD versions. Hopefully they are still on Rikter's list of future releases, as I really enjoy MagFan's edits.

That is SO, SO NOT TRUE!!!!
I have mailed out over 300 copies of the ORIGINAL DVD versions as I have copies of the DVD masters, I have given them away in this very thread a few times and even more in the Edits thread, So in truth the DVD's have been out for a few years and yes it is also true that there are a few XVID conversion on DVD floating around but I have since sent the few that have said it was from an XVID proper copies of the DVD's.
A little history....
I WAS ASKED BY MAGFAN NOT TO UPLOAD THE DVD'S TO THE TORRENTS OR NEWSGROUPS...
(as they were even THEN not considered done and I was told that IMPROVED versions would come)
I WAS ASKED TO UPLOAD THE XVIDS AS TESTERS...
(they tested VERY well then I was given the OK to start to send out DVD's, the first wave was 50 sets (100 discs) that went out to MANY of this very forum and members of myspleen in the fall 04'. So, I just can figure out how the XVID to DVD version even surfaced BUT I do suspect that it was sourced from a FAN on myspleen then they started to send copies to others from there who THEN migrated here.
I STILL PLAN ON UPLOADING THE FINAL VERSIONS WHEN THEY COME OUT!!!
(If I'm allowed I will upload the final versions to multiple trackers and even plan a newsgroup release!!, I've been privilage to many behind the edits information and screener footage and think that HOLDING off on uploading the V.1 versions was a VERY WISE CHOICE as without Ep III some of the ideas could not be completed)
HOLD TIGHT GANG THE V2 VERSIONS WILL BE WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm just encoding the files and putting together the subtitle track for it. I'll probably spend the next week or two combing it for any gaffs or errors.
I threw up a myspace page, with a few clips from the new version, and a blog where people can submit suggestions for special features to go on this dvd release.

Everything is still rough on the myspage page, as I just threw it up this morning, but I'll refine it in the coming days.
Oh and the minute I get this dvd set locked and completed, I'll be litting Rik' (among others) get the dvds out to you guys...
The big thing that took so long was that I had to reconstruct it from scratch.
The original files were lost.

A couple of questions for you:
-These aren't the Special Editions you were talking about, are they? Because I thought you were going to wait for the CGI Yoda to do those.
-Can we expect more extensive changes to TCW? As I understand it, you edited Episode II first, so I'm curious if you had any major revisions in mind.

And, Episode II, has undergone some tweaking as well. Not a whole lot of major story changes, just a lot more tightening, and then I have 2 versions, a standard cut and an extended that doesn't quite flow as tightly but contains a wealth of additional scenes.

This one is notable because it showcases a few changes from the original version (beyond different subtitles).
Blink and you might miss them.

As for argument, fixing that now.
My spellcheck seems to have accepted it with the wrong spelling for some reason.
But anyway, I'd prefer that people nitpick the hell out of these clips.
I'm posting them as a kind of proof reading process.
