i don’t know the details what the 5.1 audio on the dvd/blu-ray is sourced from. but i would guess it’s coming from the 70mm 6 track magnetic masters. it’s not a bad mix at all, but after listening to the original 35mm mix from the laserdisc, i have to say that i prefer the laserdisc audio. it sounds much better and it’s not as harsh in some scenes then the 5.1 mix. i didn’t do a full-blown comparison, but during the syncing of the audio, the ld waveforms alone looked better - more dynamic if i can say this - i’m no audio technician, so please excuse me for lacking the proper terms 😉
anyway… the laserdisc is synced and ready to be shared to those who have interest.
source: ntsc laserdisc - special thanks to PDB for providing the pcm audio
synced by myself to the blu-ray using adobe audition
release format: flac, 16bit 2.0 (dolby surround) at 44.1khz

why do you use flac instead of wav?
flac is a lossless codec and saves spaces. you can transcode it to wav easily, if you need it.
please note: if you share this on another place, then don’t forget to give credit to the people making this release possible.
