Well it does, if you think the prequals suck and/or that GL didn't do THAT much on the OT.

GL didn't create much of the OT by himself. I remember reading that Vader's full body suit concept was created by one of his artists based on an early draft that had Vader space-walking to another ship. What he did was to create a rough plot line, assign roles and gather ideas, even the ANH screenplay wasn't written only by him. But he sure is one hell of a producer, probably one of the best around, and he sure knows how to make money from movies...

Okay, ignore my "I cannot access this photo" post in the other thread.

This sucks. My resolve is strengthened even more.

Don't worry. It's false. Hadeyn's head pasted over Shaw's body.

I really don't doubt Lucas would do such a thing (btw why not replace sir Alec Guiness with Ewan "Big Fish/Moulin Rouge" McGregor as well?), I mean, I belive Lucas will transform the SW trilogy into a festival of crappy CGI and ridiculous plot changes, but this pic is fake. I rest my case.

It has to be fake. You can clearly see that the body is from the original film and the head is just pasted on. Some people suggested that maybe that is what they are actually going to do in the film, but think about it; it's easy to do in a still image, but if you past a moving head onto a different persons body, which is also in motion, it ain't gonna work. You would be able to see the join at the neck. Besides, Jaydens appeal is his youthful good looks, whose going to want to see him with a forty year old body?? ;-)

As I said I don't mind the SE.

But, this Anakin thing just doesn't make sence. Vader died when he was old, like Obi-Wan. Why is there a young Ani there??

SSomeone answe me that please coz I don't know!!!

I can fucking answer that myself

Found this on the force.net

Our sources tell us that there have been lots of changes to A New Hope, including some tinkering with the Han/Greedo scene. This is also the film with the most significant changes. The Emperor has been replaced with prequel actor Ian McDiarmid in ESB and Hayden Christensen does indeed appear in the final cut of Return of the Jedi. The explanation of his young appearance as a spirit is revealed in Episode III, as (spoiler) the years in the Dark Side don't age the Jedi's spirit form.

We caution you that these are rumors and even this report should be met with some skepticism and prayer that they'll just quit messing with these movies. According to these people though, THESE are the rumored Archival Editions fans were expecting in the future.

So our hope is that maybe the 2006/7 DVD version of the film will be the originals in all of their glory?

So there you go!

I don't mind that age doesn't mess with a Jedi's ghostly appearance. But, and I think we've argued this here before but I don't remember the results, wouldn't it be more appropriate for Luke to see his father's Jedi ghost appear as he does the one time Luke actually sees him? As Sebastian Shaw? And, if death doesn't mess with the ghost, then why does Obi Wan still appear as Alec Guinness and not as Ewan McGregor?

First of all, AGAIN, even if GL copy and paste Hayden over Sebastian Shaw, and I don't doubt he will, that pic is fake.

I think what he's trying to say is that Anakin Jedi spirit didn't age when he turned into the dark side, it remained "young". That's wahy Obi-Wan is old when he is a ghost, because he never fell for the dark side. I belive that's a false rumor, but if confirmed, would kick the midichlorian thing as the most idiotic plot explanation ever made in the SW saga, making George Lucas' creation no better than Battlefield Earth.
