To be honest I don't really care what he does anymore. IMO GL has lost any credibility he had when he refused to release the OT. Although on a positive note, stuff like this may win others over to our POV...

yes. The scene is being worked on as we speak, so unless GL changes his mind and omits it (which is possible) its going to be in there for the sept dvds.

To be honest and I know some may diasgree, but I would rather have Han shoot second then Haden at the end of ROTJ. I just think it would completely ruin the sacrifice Anakin makes for Luke at the end of the movie. Not to mention, I liked Sebastian Shaw as old Anakin and I think it does him a major disservice to be deleted, especially with him already dead and in the grave. Show a little respect GL.

what doesnt make sense is the fact that Luke couldnt have known what his father looked like when he was younger...
so then will we have Luke at least making a face like "who in the hell is that?"

Lucas has fumbled yet again..

I agree. Keep mr. Shaw in the movie. Inserting Haden at that scene would make as much sense as inserting James Earl Jones or David Prose there too.

Maybe GL will insert a scarecrow too, like that "Top Secret!" movie.

Luke, I think it's just a matter of knowing. By this point in his Jedi training, I doubt that much could really faze the real Luke. For example, seeing his father's real face for the first time wouldn't be a surprise in the sense of having a look of shock on his face. I think he would just remain as he is. The relieved look on his face is perfect. Adds a sense of closure to the whole thing.

right, putting lloyd would be as logical as putting hayden. oh well, we don't know how they are going to explain it yet.

that scene is great just it is. you can also be too zealous some time...
i think that, if this is really true, the only thing that could stop them would be the special effects not being good enough to make it look credible. although, that didn't stop them from putting that jabba scene in ANH.

but on the plus side, as samatar said, there will be more people yearning for the OT in this case.

and maybe they planned to do that at first but dropped the idea. perhaps that's why they wanted to wait till ep3 was released to release the DVDs. they saw that it wouldn't work out so they decided to release the DVDs earlier. i think i'll go with this explanation. living in denial is so nice...

Fantastci idea! Yes, they could all be sitting there with their arms on each others shoulders, and just to make it even more confusing we could have Mr Lucas himself sitting in the middle. Wouldn't make any sense, but at that stage who would care?!?
