Well i figured it would be fun to list all the different ways Lucas is changing his OT to fit with his PT....

ill start...

Stormtroopers are now clones..

That fortunately hasn't been proven as the "leaked" footage suggests otherwise. Assuming they are legit, here's my bit.

Hayden's head

"Weesa Free"

WTF, the Jedi Temple still stands? With the public hatrid of the Jedi, that makes NO sense.

"He's noh gud ta me dehd" The murder of Boba Fett's credibility.

Jango's voice on stormtroopers (confirmed?)

I think he's trying to blend episode 3 with the OT more than he is trying to blend the OT with the PT. Everyone is going to look like they're from the 70s. Groovy.

I read somewhere they are trying to go for a more griddy 70s look for Revenge of the Sith. The idea is that the polished look of the prequals is ment to show the bright time for the galaxy and the griddy 70s look is the dark times.

they're starting to make it look like the 70s now?
so we go from the look of 1999 to 2002 and then to the 1970s look...
wtf???

anyway...

theres also the unconfirmed change of Boba's Voice...

That's really all the explanation that's needed, isn't it, Luke?

he's made more bad decisions than good...

You know, ironically, there's at least one place where Lucas should have tweaked things to match the PT, but he didn't. Case in point, the Emperor in ESB. I know he's been changed to Ian McD, but the hologram itself looks...bad. I mean, the old lady/monkey eyes Emperor looked more like Palpatine than this bad makeup job. If only they'd pulled down the hood a little more and darkened the contrast, it would have been consistent with TPM and looked MUCH better.

It's ROTS (Still gets me) that the Emporor will fit better with. You're gonna see Sidious in all his glory in 3.

Who played the Emporer in ESB originally, and why didn't they play the role in ROTJ?

They are going to give it a 70s look because it would blend with the OT. Basically, when the Empire gained control of everything, people started to look like people on our Earth did in the 70s. Get it?

All we need now is Meco to write the score for this movie... Disco's back!

Clive Reville was the voice. The old woman is not listed, nor are the chimp's whose eyes made it in.

Lucas should have done this from the beginning then...
the look of the films are going to clash so badly...

Not al all, it's a quesiton of fashion. People in -30 pre-ANH didn't look like that, the buildings and the technology didn't have that 70s look. Think of it as fashion, I mean, people in the 40s didn't look like people in the 70s at all. Maybe the Emperor was a big fan of "Saturday Night Fever" and "That 70s show", maybe he has all the bee gees and abba albums. I think it does make sense, and it helps the whole thing to blend more naturally.

ya i guess...
i guess coming from our eyes though we're going to know that them going ahead in time is really them going back in time when it comes to fashion...
if that makes any sense at all...

I always felt that the PT films should have found creative ways to SEEM like real prequels to the OT.

Like using the same effects methods or limiting themselves to effects methods of rear projection, models on string with smoke jetting out the back et cetera.

The artists would have been forced to find creative solutions to the problems and you can't tell me these guys wouldn't have had a blast working the old school methods.

Visually the films should have looked as if they were produced in the 40s and 50s with clothing and hairstyles that reflected the era.

There should have been more swashbuckling and deeds of deering-do, hand rubbing mustouche twirling scum and villainy.

Idealistic crusaders: the best starpilot in the galaxy and his best friend and mentor a young reckless Jedi.

The two young Jedi are surrounded by an army of Sith footsoldiers.

ObiWan: Oh I'm a fool for getting you into this.

Anakin: Who's the more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?

They smile and ignite their lightsabers...

A black and white holocron presentation/newsreel sequence.

Hotheads in hotrods racing for credits.

And so on...
"The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country." - Goering.

"In times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act." - Orwell.

It would certainly be interesting if a bunch of us created a fanfic of what a prequel trilogy COULD have been like.

Hey, why not, what have we got to lose? XD

This is not just the "Special" Edition, it's the "Special-Special" Edition.

Not only did Lucas perform the switcheroo from Sebastian Shaw to Hayden Christensen (why stop there? Why not replace Alec Guiness with Ewan McGregor? Or the Geico gecko in place of Yoda?), but there are more changes, heretofore undocumented:

1. To accurately date Star Wars, the John Williams music has been replaced with compositions by the Bee Gees.

2. Britney Spears now dances alongside other CGI wonders in Jabba's Palace (she's the blue one with the fanciful tattoo on her backside)

3. Michael Jackson is now the creature whose arm is sliced off by Obi-Wan in the cantina.

4. Billy Dee Williams has been replaced entirely by Rick James. I think you'll agree that the newly added dialogue with Princess Leia really does wonders for ESB: "Yo ass belongs to da Empire now, bitch!"

5. Thankfully, the Ewoks have all been eliminated in favor of a tribe of Smurfs. Gargamel gets medieval on some Stormtrooper butt!

6. As an homage to SW fan films, The Millennium Falcon is now a flying toaster (with wings).

7. Hoobastank have a cameo in the Hoth battle scenes.

8. The Hoth creature is now Billy Crystal in a fur coat ("have fun storming the Death Star!)

9. Whenever Chewbacca turns his head, there are now satisfying "whoosh" noises.

10. The special stormtrooper tool belt around Luke's waist has been colored yellow to more closely resemble Batman's.

11. Instead of carbonite, Han Solo is now suspended in Jello (strawberry flavor).
