Lowry Digital working on original unaltered SW Trilogy?!

Author
Time

Interestingly, it seems that Lowry Digital, the firm who restored the films for the previous DVD release are once again restoring the trilogy with a little more time up their sleeve than the 3 months they had to previously work within. Interestingly, Chairman John Lowry allegedly made comments that implied that they were also restoring the original cuts of the film too, but no announcements in regards to content have been confirmed. I guess this time next year we will know for sure...

I pray that it would turn out to be the true...

It would be nice to have the exact words he used.

Here's some older stuff:

Short vid from Reliance Media Works (Lowry joined with AdLabs in 2010) contribution to the SW DVD:

Pics from the above video were seen in the original Apple.com Lowry SW article "3 months 600 macs"

I actually believe we will see a remastered OOT sometime in the future.  The fact that Lucas is releasing the Saga AND the PT and OT seperate on BluRay tells me that Lucas has conceded that idea that everyone will be a Saga fan of all 6 movies.

He has preached and preached for the past 10 years that it is one big movie that is supposed to be watched from 1-6, yet he releases the OT seperate from the Saga?  Purely for financial reasons, because they fear that many OT fans WONT buy all 6 movies and just want the OT.

Lucas can get away with this BluRay set by not putting out the OOT because there are a market of OT fans who prefer the OOT, but put up with the SE changes and will buy this set. (I have several friends who prefer the OOT, but will be buying this set.)

Which leads me to believe that Lucas will release the OOT fullly remastered in the next few years, and he can make more $$$$$$$$ that way then include it in this set.

I downloaded & opened it.  It's just a basic business update for Adlabs.  Talking points on how they're India's fastest growing entertainment services, largest theater chain in Asia, largest radio station group, producing fifteen TV shows, etc, etc. Lowry is their film restoration arm.

I don't see any mention of Star Wars other than this name-check. Nothing specific.

Because even if he does, he knows that not everyone views the saga as a single movie.

And it's not just the OT seperated from the saga. It's the PT too.

You need to buy the saga set with the crap prequels to get the oot deleted scenes, so i think Lucash wins on that one.  You buy the special edition trilogy set only without the prequels and you don't get the bonus materials.
