Hello how are you? My name is Alejandro, I’m from Uruguay, recently searching the internet trying to get the extended edition of the Lord of the Rings trilogy I realized that they ruined the color. Searching, I came across your publication and I wanted, first of all, to congratulate you on the absolutely spectacular work you have done! It’s amazing to see so much love and dedication put into reviving something that so many of us love. You are going to share your work with the rest of the world, I would sincerely like to ask you if you have a link to download them, or if you are going to sell them, see how I could do it. They are an important part of my story, and I can’t wait to relive that magical moment again, I thank you in advance.

Its intentional because the process for both version was different:
Theatrical DreMastered:
Source Material: Old Theatrical Bluray
Regrade: NONE
Processing: Upscale to 4k
Extended DreMastered:
Source Material: Extended Bluray from 2011
Regrade: Removing the green tint => regrade with 35mm negative scan as reference
Processing: Using AI to remove edge enhancement, Upscale to 4k
I prefer the new color grading for the Extended Cut. Much more nuanced than the old theatrical color grade. But that’s personal preference.
