Locked: Star Wars Audiobook Torrent... Need SERIOUS Assistance!

Wasn’t sure where to put this but i’m planning on uploading my entire collection of Star Wars Audiobooks to MySpleen pretty soon, except I have one slight snag: Namely i’m missing the entire last book of the Thrawn Trilogy by Timothy Zahn entitled The Last Command…

I really really want to find a copy of this on mp3 to add to my collection before I upload it to MySpleen; if anyone has a copy of it/or can make one, i’d be enourmously indebted. The only reason I don’t have it is due to the cd I had it stored on now can’t be read now due to dirt/whatever. If I can manage to obtain it in mp3 format, i’ll be uploading the following as a 3.7 gig bundle to MySpleen shortly thereafter:

The X-Wing Series, the entire New Jedi Order, and Dark Empire are up on Demonoid.com, and luckily they still have seeders.

What bitrate do you have your collection in so far?

Have you had any luck so far? I've got the X-Wing series; Labrynth of evil; Tales of the Jedi; Dark Empire; the Dark Forces Audio Drama; I, Jedi; and the NJO downloaded if you need them.

Well actually several great folks have come forward with links to a very rare edition of the Last Command that was unabridged, whereas I was merely looking for the abridged with sound effects and the like. However, i've since made a deal through eBay that SHOULD give me a total of 95 Star Wars audiobooks when it comes in...which will hopefully be sometime this week; i'll be sure to post back when that comes through.

If it does, i'll try to upp every one of them, but I fully expect it to be in excess of 9 gigabytes as they are being shipped on thre DVD-Rs...

I really hope you're getting the fully dramatized "We Don't Do Weddings: The Band's Tale" from the Cantina stories book. Had that tape a while ago and have no idea where it is now...

I'm not meaning to hijack your thread, but this is kind of related - I have the Star Wars Radio Play on cassette but I want it on CD so I can actually listen to it (I don't have a working cassette player anymore). I don't have broadband to download it. Would anyone be so kind as to send me a copy, even if it's in MP3? I'll gladly pay for postage, discs, etc. PM me please.

I have those DVDs too. Lotsa good stuff there. The only real problem I have had with them is that some of the .mp3s are listed out of order and I have had to try and figure out the correct sequence. That can be real frustrating when you're trying to listen to the story.

The DVDs are well worth the money though. I e-mailed the guy selling them told him he was only missing one set to my knowledge, but they are so rare I don't blame him for thinking that he "all" of the Star Wars audiobooks.

I don't know if the Thrawn Trilogy is unabridged or not. I know when I asked the seller about it he said that if there was an unabrdiged version available for any particular story than it he had it as part of the collection. So, without having listened to it and without knowing where the differences would be I can't really say whether it is on there or not.

The set that I told him he didn't have is the Star Wars Trilgy read by Tony Roberts. At first he swore that there were no audiobooks for the SW trilogy, just read-alongs. He stopped arguing with me when I showed him the picture of the cds.

Heh, I get a kick out of correcting ebay sellers . Do your homework before you try to sell something!

Well, the unabridged version weren't very widespread and were recorded by a different company(they also had a poor narrator), the abridged versions had some of the actors from the movies read them (Heir had Denis Lawson, and DFR and LC had Anthony Daniels).

Okay, well then according to what you pointed out Sess, apparently the versions on the DVD are the abridged versions. I just checked and it is clearly Anthony Daniels reading DFR and TLC.

I would like to get my hands on the unabridged versions.

Hi, I'm sorry. I'm new here. I have the abridged edition of Tim Zahn's Last Command myself, though I'm not sure if you're still looking for it. I'd be very interested though to get the unabridged version if at all possible though. I'd take unabridged over abridged any day. Much longer, more indepth it all makes sense and it was written to be read/listened to that way. No gaps, and more to enjoy - definately I'd take unabridged over abridged any day.

I am.

I've recieved my copy of the books this week and am just finishing up getting them sorted out & organized correctly; they were a MESS!
Anyway the final end result will be just about ever Star Wars related audio book ever made.
(No prequel books will be included however, as i'm only going for things related to the Expanded Universe essentially)

The only exception will be that I might not include the New Jedi Order since I believe they are already up & since i'm not a fan of them.
Anyhow it's going to be another day or so till I up them: any requests as to which site I should up them to start with? (MySpleen, Demonoid.com, etc..)


Two final notes:
#1 - The unabridged version of the Thrawn Trilogy will not be included. Unless, Sessler wants to send me a copy of the unabridged for the add, but if that happens the project will be pushed back for several weeks as i'm off to college agian next week.
#2 - All books will come absolutely iPod ready.

Not quite yet.

I'm still going through the last bit of editing and then i'll upload.
However, i'm going back to college next week so if I don't get it posted this week, it will be for sure sometime next week after I move in.

The offical name for it will be: 'Practically Every Star Wars Audiobook Ever Made'
And it will probably be up at demonoid first.
