As much as I loved the chat last night imagine how awful and impossible to police an OT.COM chat bar would become.

Let's do it.

^We do have an IRC channel but the address escapes me at the moment. Also, I would have loved to be more active in the chat but the game is fullscreen :/

Last time I went looking for the IRC channel it wasn't there. Unless we are talking about something different?

If there's interest in starting it up again, let me know.

Where were you in '77?

I remember this game from when it was released. I think I still have it somewhere. Even though it wasn't that good it sure had it's fun moments.

All these "I remember..." comments remind of a bunch of men sitting in a bar remembering where they were when they first heard about the JFK assassination.

^Or when Princess Di died. Which was, oddly enough, the day when I watched ROTJ for the very first time (in French, no less).

Live again! Watch me do that annoying drag puzzle again.
edit: Twist just watched me suffer through the worst platforming I have ever seen. She'll vouch. I died the same jump maybe 20+ times.

Yep, then immediately afterwards another difficult jump appeared... Like it was designed to kill you, not let you actually finish the game.

And, with that. It is the end of this lovely stream. If you want to watch what I've done, game crashes and all, the link is in the first post.

If a mod would move this to off-topic, I"m going to be opening my livestream to broader topics. It'll still be games, but not necessarily of the SW variety from now on.

maybe the gungan frontier or better yet the namco famicom starwars for other streaming?

"Changing classic movies at all is just wrong." Puggo

"HA, Ha, you r ghey" was probably a hilariously insulting comment in Elementary and Middle School, but its not cooly insulting anymore and its certainly not funny: it makes people who say it look like, well, an "inbred monkey." TheSessler

"I'm still %20 the wiser. It amused me that after doing a google image search for "The Final Milf" the second picture is Roger Delgado followed by lots and lots of porn." Bingowings

If my computer could manage streaming a screen capture, and if I lived in a more appropriate timezone, I'd stream Rogue Squadron, because I love that game. It introduced me to Star Wars and I've played it since 1998! Memories, memories...

Leo have you played the pc port or would you emulate the N64 version?

That's when grassy knolls were real grassy knolls *memories* not like these days with all those new fangled gravel lawns and sunken beds.

Always played the pc port. I unfortunately never had a N64. I've read the two versions were pretty much identical, is this true?

PC version had nicer menus and probably controls more suited to its genre. It's been a long time since I played it. Plus, your usual graphics boost.

I've played it soooooo many times... I got a few in-game lines memorized:

- "Is that my imagination or are those.... imperial probe droids! Dead ahead! They're attacking homesteads!"

- "Aaaaaaagh--- I'm clear but my fighter's down!"

- "Inbound fighters at 10-13."
- "I copy"

-"Maintain visual scanning."

- "Heee-haw!"
- "Raowr!"
- "Han, Chewie, what are you doing here?"
- "How you doin', kid? Thought I might give you a hand. This is my home town, after all."

Please tell me Ric or Nute "Two of Them" Gunray appear in the game.

I would tune in for that. I only re-installed Rogue Squadron on my PC last night, got the N64 out of the loft and started ebay bidding on the memory expansion pak so that I can play both versions again. This is my favourite Star Wars game ever.....

oh Frink, you should have tuned in to my stream. I guess they didn't have the budget for an impersonator; Nute Gunray's voice sounds more like Ric than like himself.

Commence thread hijacking in 3...2...1...

Thread hijacked, sir!

Okay, I am live on Ustream right now, playing
"Star Wars" for the Nintendo Entertainment System.

This is more of a test than anything else (that's why I didn't open a new thread), but... tune in if you like! :)

I don't know, but they really pissed me off. I suppose I needed a better weapon. Starting again in a few seconds.

How was the framerate?

Author

No, pretty sure it's my pc. That's why I wanted to do this test in the first place. Gonna try now the SNES emulator, with Super Star Wars. At least it's easier. And prettier.
