Oh, and BTW. I think Jenny is damn hot, which doesn't make me a petophile; it makes me straight.

Greatly appreciated. And no hard feelings. AND; no AWK jokes about hard feelings in my pelvic region(or anything related).

Heck it technically took me 20 years.

You mean school in general, right? I really hope you don't mean college alone.

Dude. Five years is nothing. Now that I'm working on my Masters, I'm going to be in for at least another two. You may be 17 and in college, but that offers you no bragging rights (because my brother is too, so there ). Besides, maybe Jenny didn't start college right away after high school.

Sorry everyone. This was totally a useless post. But now you know I'm going for my Masters

That was the other reason I considered. But break years are getting dangerous (no matter how much fun they are ), because I think a draft is on its way soon...

College

I started in '83, dropped out in '86 and went back 15 years later. Changed majors and basically started from scratch.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

Well I finally got my degree in Technical writing. Who knew that shortly after that the tech field would implode and become unstable for job security?

No, I started right after high school. I spent 2 years as an undergrad at Auburn university studing Biology. I then transfered up to Michigan and changed my major to Communications/Film and Video in my Junior year (couldn't cut the chemistry and math needed for Biology). I have 5 classes left and graduate in December.

Then...I donno. I wanna go to film school, but I'll have to move to LA to get proper training. And that is out-of-state tuition I'd be paying. Hmm...

Fair enough. I just didn't want Jag to assume that, because you were 23, you had spent five years in college, as that might not be true.

Technical writing is the writing of anything technical. Reports, journals, books, manuals...it's pretty broad.

and some programs actually take 5 years. I know my school had a program where you get your Bachelor and Masters degrees and it took 5 years.
