I'm in the 'non-calling-them-minifigs' camp as well. I couldn't care less if the Lego corporation wants people to call them that. (some paranoid legal issue, apparently)
When I say "Lego men", I say so with reverence! ;)
P.S. I'm gonna get to work on a new Sluggo in a few minutes.

I think he would look better with a nose, but that's an extreme rarity in Legoland. Makes me wonder why they never did add noses to them.

Sluggo has a pug nose, which may not translate to the lego format. I think it looks perfect.

That's why I did it also. I was constantly stopping at other people's posts and thinking it was one of mine. However, I kept my minifig for future use. It really does bear an uncanny resemblance.
