It is set about a hundred years after Legacy of the Jedi story arc from Del Rey.

There is a new Empire and a new sith Order, as well as a new skywalker.

The new Skywalker character is Cade Skywalker, He looks sort of like a cross between anakin skywalker and luke skywalker. No word yet on his relation to the skywalker clan, is he supposed to be descended from Ben Skywalker?, or did Luke and Mara have more children?

what do other star wars EU fans think?

At first I was hoping it was an april fools joke.

and furthermore the Dark Nest Trilogy was rather Lackluster with some good points/ moments

will The legacy of the Jedi series of Novels bring back the EU star wars we all know and love, or will it be more rewriting of the saga/tying in with the prequels crap?

He's a descendent of Luke and is a smuggler.

The art for it looks horrid as well as the story line.
There's good in the Original Trilogy, and it's worth fighting for.

yeah i made a thread about this, already. i think the idea is cool, the legacy books are going to be good, but the comics, i donno they kinda put a block on the creative possiblities for the orginal characters, by been set so far into the future. i think cade will be bens son's son. but yeah its going to be interesting to see the legacy book series, the dark nest trilogy was just a set up for te legacy series i think. watch jacen fall to the darkside. luke will die in this next series and we know that characters like ben will come of age.

I don't see the problem for the story to be "set so far into the future". On the contrary, I think it's a good point, it will be so far that all the events between post-ROTJ era and this one will be still mysterious. I mean, it was pretty much the same thing for KOTOR era, the story is so far away thet it doesn't cause any "real" trouble of continuity, nor destroying the mystery. Just my PoV...

oh yeah i know but there there is a huge different between 10^2 and 10^3. like once we know the world of cade skywalker, they cant go and pull another yuuzhan vong invasion on us. know what i mean, things are limited.
