Finally finished Breaking Bad. I meandered my way through the first 3 seasons, but once I got halfway into the 4th, I had to finish it as soon as I could. Great show, the last season especially. I feel empty now.

I think I’m gonna watch Better Call Saul next, then probably Sons of Anarchy.

I think I might like Saul more than BB. The original is absolutely dazzling, but Saul is much more my kind of show.

I’ve started watching Smallville as I found the DVD sets for the first nine seasons for a pound a pop in a charity shop.

Watched the first disc.

It’s tonally more grim and slower paced than I expected.
I’m hoping the monster of the week thing will tone down. Lex is a very interesting character.

The soundtrack is very intrusive though.

I think I might agree with you. Granted, I’ve only finished the first 2 episodes of Saul. Breaking Bad was intense, dark and thrilling, and no doubt a great show. Better Call Saul seems a little more lighthearted, but still has the charm, writing and directing of Breaking Bad.

Also, Ozymandias was an amazing episode, Rian Johnson did an amazing job with it. He also directed Looper, which I absolutely loved, so I have high hopes for Star Wars Episode 8.

"Vikings"
Just finished season two. Not sure if I will continue on. It’s not bad, but it’s not great.

Here’s all the series I finished watching over the past couple weeks/months:

Stranger Things

Perhaps it’s just my biased love for the '80s talking, but I absolutely loved this series. I certainly hope a second season is forthcoming.

Also, Millie Bobby Brown’s an actress whose career I’ll certainly be following in the future.

9/10

The X-Files

Started re-watching this series about two years ago in preparation for the then-upcoming tenth season, but lost interest after falling into that terrible depression back in the fall and pushed it aside. I finally got back to it recently and finished seasons 7-9.

Needless to say, I’m still not a fan of the mytharc (though the eighth season managed to produce a number of very good mytharc episodes for the first time in several seasons), and season 7 is nigh-unwatchable, but I still consider The X-Files one of my favourite TV shows.

9/10

The 4400

I wish this series had gotten a fifth season.

8/10

The second season of That '70s Show

It was good, but not as good as the first season.

7/10

As for shows I’m currently watching:

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

This time, I’m only going to watch those episodes which tie into the Bajor/Dominion War storyarcs; everything else – minus some select few standalone episodes I remember enjoying – will be avoided (especially anything Ferengi/Klingon related).

Breaking Bad

Watched the first season and first episode of the second. Enjoying it so far.

The Tick (2016 pilot)

I REALLY, really, really want Amazon to pick up this series. Loved it.

Is it better than the Fox show?

'Cause that was actually pretty good.

I have to go back and revisit it. It’s been so long.

If you like football US style, I highly recommend All or Nothing (A Season With The Arizona Cardinals) on Amazon.

Is it anything like Breaking Bad or The Wire?

Because as a millennial I won’t watch it if it isn’t.

I love documentaries. I might have to check that out. I enjoy a nice well-made doc even if it’s about something I’m not normally interested in.

To be clear, it’s not what some would consider a traditional documentary. It’s a bit overproduced with dramatic music, dramatic slow-motion footage of grown men (debatable) catching footballs, and dramatic narration from John Hamm (!) which is kind of eye-roll inducing. But it follows the team in the locker room, in the offices, on the field, and at home from draft day to end of season, and I was never bored.

But then again I like football.

I find it interesting that I know so many people who really like movies and football. And I’d be one of those people. Monday’s, Thursday’s and Sunday’s I watch football and follow my fantasy team. Tuesday’s, wedsdays and Thursday’s I got to focus on school. Then on Fridays and Saturdays I enjoy watching movies or hanging with friends, or better yet, going to the theatre with my friends.

My fantasy team is doing awful. Drafted Todd Gurley in one league and as you might guess, that was a bust. In my other league I took David Johnson instead which has been a bit more rewarding.
