Ah, see, I thought the Sherlock Moriarty was much, much better - and more appropriate for the style of the series - than John Simm's Master was.

I caught up with Walking Dead during its season finale marathon thing. After I watch the Talking Dead episode with Zachary Levi I think I'm done with Walking Dead. I've had enough... I might make a thread about it if you guys are wondering why.

That said last tv show I watched was Babylon 5 T.K.O. The "B" story with Ivanova is the main reason to watch that episode. Makes me wonder if Claudia Christian actually knows Hebrew. I don't know just something I thought about while watching the episode.

I for one am wondering why, and would be very interesting in reading more about it.

I for one have spent 90% of the current run hating almost every character and wishing ill on them.

They aren't even interesting enough to be diverting examples of screw ups.

It's possibly a realistic depiction of how badly people would act in that sort of situation but it doesn't make for interesting viewing.

I kept wishing it would rain pianos on them.

I think the first half of season two was pretty much a waste, but it did pick up a little in the second half, and it ended setting up a lot of potentially really cool things from the graphic novel.

Wow, I picked up the comic again and continued reading after about a year's break. It has got to be one of the most warped, twisted, sick, and disturbing pieces of literature I have ever read. I got bored with it and stopped reading it last year, turns out I stopped at a temporary slow point just before septic tank loads of fecal matter were violently launched at the air conditioner. Makes the TV series feel like something that belongs on PBS daytime tv.

All that macho crap between Rick and Shane was just tedious and Lori needs to fall down a well sideways.

SPOILERS... sort of... or definitely, if you read TWD comics!

Which, incidentally, is EXACTLY what happens to here in the comics... Well, if the well was her daughter and sideways was a shotgun blast.

Never has a fictional character deserved death more than Lori Grimes.

Since they're like poetry, what with the rhyming and all, I find that I only need to watch three out of the six films.

This series past of the UK version of Being Human has just been one long reboot episode.

The next one looks fun though.

Alright sometime in the next three or four days I'll write up a comprehensive thread why. Just not doing it now because my Cable service is erroring on the Zachary Levi Talking Dead episode and I'm too lazy to do stuff about it today.

Fringe has been getting a bit better but it's not been a good run this series.

Season Premiere of Game of Thrones was amazeballs!

Started Homeland. 3 episodes in, very interesting.

love Homeland - the writing is good but the casting is what makes it awesome..especially Mandy Patinkin as Saul.

been watching some Dirk Gently - not awsome but definitely fun.

I'm still quite enjoying Fringe, but overall this season has been about on par with the first season, which to date has been the weakest season of the series.

Game of Thrones premiere was, indeed, amazeballs ... and if you know where to look, episode 2 can be found (minus subtitles for the Dothraki scene) ... based on that episode, it looks like they're starting to deviate more from the books with this season.  I actually kind of like that - it's nice to still have some curveballs thrown at you after you've read the books and think you know what's coming.

Hell yeah!  Sherlock is simply amazing.  I'm particularly happy with what they did with Moriarty - I was wary of his characterization in Series 1, but after Series 2 I wouldn't have had him any other way.

"People have died!" "That's what people DO!"

Is this the thread where people spoilerificaly discuss the ending to Series 2 of Sherlock?

Latest webseries - Tabletop. produced by Felicia Day and starring Will Wheaton. good fun. 3 balls.

He invites people along to play a tabletop game and hilarity ensues.

also watched an episode of The Flog starring Felicia Day but thats only a few minutes or so. Tabletop is a proper half hour show. It's pretty entertaining - i'd say 3 balls also.

I'm with Johnny and his balls. His ball ratings of the programs. Not his actual

watch it, creeper..

Fringe has been a bit weak lately but with this latest episode it feels like it's getting back on track. I kinda predicted the outcome but it didn't spoil the fun..

the recent nonsense with the observer felt like a real dick with the audience - trying to tell us one thing all along only to debunk it later..

2.5 balls

also caught up with the latest ep of Danger 5 - also the season finale. No idea if there will be a second series but there was a post credits wink wink to the audience. good fun.

3 balls

also they did / didn't kill Hitler - Schrodinger would be proud..

Fringe 4x17 (which I see Johnny has already mentioned).

Loving this season now - I was wary for the first half or so of it, but the last few episodes (pretty much from "Enemy of My Enemy" on) have been a good run.

I disagree with Johnny, though - I loved the Observer episodes.

And SPOILERS AHEAD FOR Fringe 4X17

YOU'VE

BEEN

WARNED

...

I'm very sad at the loss of Red Lincoln.  He was one of my favorite characters, and until the last few episodes of the season, I really wasn't a fan of Blue Lincoln.  Thankfully, I've grown quite fond of him, but I'll still miss (as I call him) Badass Lincoln.

Though I think it's funny that Blue Lincoln gets friendzoned by one Olivia, only to (probably) end up with a hotter Olivia.

I also think that the dynamic of the show will feel less ... weird now that we (presumably) won't have Blue Lincoln and Peter vying for the Top Blueverse Dude role.  (I'm assuming that he's planning on staying Over There.)

...

END SPOILERS

So yeah, I still feel that Fringe has been pretty stellar, and hasn't "jumped the shark" yet.  It's been remarkably consistent, with the exception of the first season (which is probably why the show never found a huge audience - it started out too rocky).

Anyway, Fringe 4x17 = 4 balls out of 5!
