"The Music Man."

One of my all time favs. Made my wife watch it. She dug it to, so we can stay married.

When you say, "The Music Man" you better not be talking about a film starring Mathew Broderick... because then I am not sure if we could stay married.

I get made fun of because I like musicals... and The Music Man is one of my favorites. My Fair Lady is another really awesome musical (stems from my interest in linguistics and dialects, I think) that I haven't seen in a really long time... wonder if it is on netflix instant watch...

Aren't movies supposed to have plots?? That's why we go to see them. They're stories.

This is true. Although the CGI in the movie 'Serenity' is pretty damn good, considering the budget that movie had.

AND DOCTER WOO IS NOT AMERICAN!

You say that like it's a bad thing....

AND DOCTER WOO IS NOT AMERICAN!

Neither is Bowie...

Sex and the City. Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking either - it was at someone's party. What's worse is that... I enjoyed it. HELP!

I'd never seen the thing before.  Man - I was floored at the cheese level.  It was cheese at a Top Gun, Point Break level. How do actors bring themselves to even speak those lines?  Every moment was full-on, overly dramatic, shake your head in disbelief at the corny dialogue cheese.

"Let's kick the tires and light the fires"

It was like a train wreck.  I couldn't look away.  Unbelievably bad.

I'd watch it again just for the cheese factor.

Hahahaha!  I watch it sometimes on July 4th, just because.  But it's Bay man what did you expect!

Look at the rabbits, Lennie, just look down on that farm over there...

But the show was on HBO, so I'm sure it had some redeemable qualities, but still I don't see myself watching an episode any time soon.

Raiders Of The Lost Ark, this is my first time seeing it in in HD and WOW it looks amazing. Certain scenes had a faint blue line down the screen, is this on the dvd version also?.

Memories, the only film I have ever shouted at in a theater.

The First Lady had already had her death scene and somehow she managed to get another one...I got up and shouted (and I'm not proud of it but I couldn't contain myself at the time) "Hurry up and die already!" , and got a round of applause.

I know I shouldn't have and there would have been at least one person who had paid to see that film, who had the experience ruined by my outburst so I wouldn't do anything like that again (there again I wouldn't imagine myself doing it before it happened so who knows).

Oh man! Between your Steinbeck reference and that other guy going on and on about Orwell... I am in a minor state of euphoria here! I think you can see what I do with some of that free time I save by not watching TV... ;)

As for Sex and the City being HBO and therefore must have redeemable qualities... is HBO magical in that all in can spit out is worthwhile? Though I've not seen a lot of HBO stuff, beyond Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Ricky Gervais Show, and Extras, that I can think of.

Bill Paxton was great as the president, though.

Curb is amazing, but there are so many good shows they've produced over the years.  The Wire is arguably the greatest show ever made, and The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Deadwood, and Rome are all amazing just to name a few.  And as for comedies, Eastbound & Down, Flight of the Conchords, Da Ali G Show, and Mr. Show with Bob and David are some of the funniest you'll ever see I guarantee it.

I love that film.

Maybe it's because me and my friends sing the Team America theme song all through the action scenes.
