Stone.
It was good in parts, then it started to ride the mediocrity express.

How many truly great movies does any director really have in them?

True, but Carpenters movies took a severe nose dive after They Live, i cant even bring myself to watch Ghosts Of Mars again, once was enough.
To be honest They Live (though full of fun moments) doesn't live up to it's very simple but compelling premise.
The premise of "them" living? How hard is it to live up to that?Bingowings said:

^We are going to have that discussion about the difference between a title and a premise I can tell :-D
The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia. It was an intriguing documentary looking at the lives of this needless to say...interesting family.
9/10
The Social Network and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
Since they're like poetry, what with the rhyming and all, I find that I only need to watch three out of the six films.
Race With The Devil.
I saw The Thing on tv a few weeks ago, first time i ever saw it!
It rocks!
You can never go home again, but i guess you can shop there.

Red
A bit silly, but it was fun. Malkovitch was brilliantly insane. He should play those quirky roles more often.

Too late, i fell asleep early :).
Two Lane Blacktop.
Saw Rango. It's actually very good. Deals with actual death. (Which was entertaining for me in a theatre full of kids having the whole room go silent.) There were some annoying birds that were only there to tell the kids what was going on. There was an animated Clint Eastwood cameo which as a big spaghetti western fan made me smile. I would recommend it.
While I was watching I was just thinking of things I would cut out to make a more serious movie. When the DVD is released I just may make it my First Fan-edit.
"Let it Be" (1970)
“First feel fear, then get angry. Then go with your life into the fight.” - Bill Mollison
watched Rango in the theater. Watched the Sherlock Holmes collection by BBC and Peter Cushing as Holmes. Very good.

The Fighter
My wife picked this out from the video store (yes, we still have a physical store), which surprised me because she hates boxing movies. However, we both really enjoyed it. Christian Bale was really good in it. In fact, during the credits when they showed the real brothers, we kind of flipped out a bit about how accurate it was. Mark Wahlberg was the same as we've ever seen him. Amy Adams was the opposite of anything we'd seen her as. ;-)
