Robots was the first movie I ever saw in theaters. Saw it at a 70mm IMAX theater that only does digital now.
United 93 (2006)
Very sad, very heart wrenching, as to be expected of a film based on the awful events that transpired on that day. The film captured the intensity and desperation that the passengers would have been feeling very well. Of course, since it is based on real life events, not all characters can get complete closure, with Ben Sliney disappearing near the end. I also really enjoyed that, unexpectedly, the main character seemed to be Ziad Jarrah, who in a lesser film might have been portrayed as an evil man. I’ll give it a solid nine out of ten.
Not enough people read the EU.
*I walked back into my house and caught part of a weird movie that the TV happened to be on
Robots (2005)
An odd kids movie that doubles as a sort of critique on capitalism as the villain’s plan is to literally chop up poor robots because they can’t afford his product.

Yeah, you’re not the only one…
I love that movie. It’s funny, but also very inspirational.
And you could do much worse than to become someone who chases his dreams until he succeeds. He’s doing fairly well. When you put it like that… yeah. But after I watched it I had the thought of being watched in a high school classroom and being laughed at by a bunch of teachers and still living in the same house (or neighborhood, can’t remember) as your parents at age 30.
I really urge you to watch it again with a slightly different eye. There’s a beauty to this film and to Mark that often gets lost under the laughs. It’s much more than a crazy guy dreaming bigger than his means.
And, like I said, Mark is doing pretty well and doing what he loves. That’s more than most of us can say!
OH! Also look up the deleted scene: “Burger King”. I think it’s on youtube. It’s my favorite part of the movie and it’s not even in the movie!
JEDIT- Here it is!
Fright Night (1985)
The Halloween season officially kicked off at my place today with this movie. It’s a seasonal must-watch for me.
Fun Fun Fun.
Oh boy I made a bunch of people feel old. I’m 15. I don’t know if I’m making things better with that statement.
No.

I don’t even remember 15.
I’m 15.
When I was 15 i had to walk two miles in 4 feet of snow with 50 mph winds to use the internet.
And it was uphill both ways.

Hahaha being 15 and having an internet.
What’s that? I can’t hear you, maybe you should turn off your cpap machine when you talk
I was 15 when I joined this forum. Now I’m 28. Jesus…
Anyway:
Wind River (2017)
Well-made and well-acted, but kind of a generic script, and I didn’t think a certain flashback scene just before the climax was particularly necessary. Worth a watch, but if depictions of sexual violence bother you I’d stay away. Or at least leave the theater for a good ~10 minutes once the flashback starts (it’s pretty clear when that is, and by that point in the movie what’s about to happen isn’t really a spoiler).
7/10, probably not the Oscar bait Renner and Olsen were hoping for (though they both gave excellent performances), but solid enough.

Hey, I fifteen too! I’ve got someone to relate to.

SONIC RACES THROUGH THE GREEN FIELDS.
THE SUN RACES THROUGH A BLUE SKY FILLED WITH WHITE CLOUDS.
THE WAYS OF HIS HEART ARE MUCH LIKE THE SUN. SONIC RUNS AND RESTS; THE SUN RISES AND SETS.
DON’T GIVE UP ON THE SUN. DON’T MAKE THE SUN LAUGH AT YOU.

What is it with schools today?
Lol they obviously aren’t good but rating The exorcist II above the prequels is hilarious.
Sounds reasonable.
That said, I did underrate ROTS. I’ve bumped it up to 2/10.

I might have a skewed vision of how bad they really are because I haven’t seen the theatricals since I was in probably the 8th grade and had just discovered fanedits. (This would have been around 2007-2008 and I think I watched slumberlands)
I watched l8wrtrs revenge of the sith the other day and I’d give it about a 7/10 overall. Maybe they seem better to me because I legitimately don’t remember how bad they were before. Although I don’t really care for how he reordered some scenes, all the scenes themselves were improved. Can’t wait for octorox to do his as his versions of 1 and 2 are my favorites.
You’ve ranked way too many movies over Batman Returns.

I’d watch Exorcist II over the PT anytime, any day. And I’ll never voluntarily watch Exorcists II again.
Exorcists II
Wait, so how many exorcists are in Exorcists II?
