yeah you're right.
just hope that GL does not pick up this idea and force OT fans to go through this process, so that we don't complain anymore...

I actually enjoyed the second movie, as an action film. Just forget about all that matrix/oracle/machines/philosofy crap, and watch it for the action and fighting sequences, it's great.

Which is philosofy... written while in the toilet..?

I've heard that one of the wachowski (dont know how its spelled) brothers, who created and directed the matrix trilogy, actually decided to go "wendy carlos" on his genitalia, and became a woman, is that true? And if it is, perhaps it might become a trend, and GL might do it too... how about, episode 3, directed by Georgina Lucas? (would be exactly as he is now, beard and all, but with long hair and lipsticks)

here's an article about that (i mean ric's allusion to the wachowskis).
but i think it's not true, it's dated june 2003, if it really had happened you would have heard more about it, so i think it's just a rumor.

lol "The Video Game"? That's the title for episode 3? Sounds ok by me...

Hayden looks sad, sitting on that greenscreen cube. I think he misses seeing a real set, and real actors, all he has seen during all principal photography was greenscreens, bluescreens, and GL saying: "ok, now, act surprised! ok never mind we'll fix that on post-production... now... look sad! ok, again, post-production will fix that... God I love this job!"

with all that CGI, it would make sense...

actually you're right. acting in the prequels must be less exciting than acting in the OT. there there were all those creatures walking around, even if they were actually guys in costumes, but it must have been fun.

The only possible explanation for GL's bizarre behaviour while creating his films (20 minutes of principal photography, 2 years of post-production), is a drunk bet, the devil, or social phobia.

Well it's just like politics, if you want the best of it, you must be extremly critical. I like GL, I mean, I like his work, never met the man, and never will.

It makes sense that actors on real sets deliver better performances, and the more real things you have on set thats real, the more the actors can react to and play off of. Just think of Star Wars... synthetic sets... synthetic props... digital creatures... God do I feel for those actors.

oh yeah the last line of episode 3-- Darth vader bows before the emperor in his throne room, and says "What is thy bidding, my master?" Play the dark side theme very loudly with Cellos which swells into the Star wars theme for the end credits.

And that's why many actors hate doing it. Peter O'Toole was originally cast as the villain in Tron, but when he learned he would have to act against bluescreens all the time, he refused to do it. I wonder what Sir Alec Guiness would have thought, if asked to act only to bluescreens - I mean he acted with real actors all the time during ANH, and he still hated it so much...

it should be said that bluescreen at the time of Tron was very very new...

Not really, chroma key was used way before.

Althought in Tron, I'm not sure they filmed it with a bluescreen, as it was all filmes in black and white and colorized later, to have that eerie computer feel on the actors and their clothes. But, surely, almost nothing was there, besides the actors.

I feel for the actors too, but I think they can deliver some good performances with fellow actors, regardless of the bluescreen. All the Jedi on Geonosis fighting the air and Aragorn and crew fighting that sea monster from FOTR were good.
