Totally! No need to buy an Xbox.

This is one of the best games EVER, it rocks! And as mentioned before, it really has a Star Wars feel to it, much more so than Episodes 1-3 have.

I think it is a great game, but a little over rated.
Why?? It's the only game that managed to make me addicted enough to play it 24 hours in one session! *L* (not the whole game, mind you .... that would take another three or even four 24 hour sessions )

I find some parts slow & monotonous, but in all I would recommend it.
Well, if you consider parts where you have to rather think and walk around a lot in order to get stuff done instead of hack and slay and shoot your way through the game "monotonous", then you're right.

It takes a kick-ass PC to really take full advantage of though.
Not true. My PC is not a "high end" computer compared to latest standards (I have 2.4 GHz, 512 MB RAM, a 128 MB FX 5600 grafic card, etc.), but it's well configured -- that's the trick. If you have tons of unnecessary programs running in the background that eat your memory away and slow the comp down, then you're lost whenever you want to play one of the newer 3D games.

1.Actually, I heard the PC version had some technical glitches from a reliable source <www.gamespot.com>

2.There is no way it will take you multiple 24 hour sessions. I completed the game first-time-through without a walkthrough in app. 27 hours.

3.Manaan, the water world can be pretty monotonous, especially if you get yourself involved in Sunry's trial, but the rest of the game isn't.

4.No comment. My crappy excuse for a PC will never see KoToR. Another Bioware game (Neverwinter Nights) is what I am playing now.

true, the game can be finished in a little under 30 hours, and if you know the story and just want to play it again from the other side, then you can do it in under 20 hours.

Yes. My second go'round (rodeo jargon. dern garth brooks songs) took me 21 hours.

Now. What did you all think of *the plot twist*
That's got to be the "Luke-I am your father" of the videogame generation.

1. PC version, with some patching, is no doubt better than Xbox version (wasn't to crazy about the "run-everywhere-unless-you-wear-a-stealth-belt" deal).

2. I think my reaction to the *surprise* was about the same as Darth Chaltab, although perhaps excluding the "I'm going to kill Bastila" thing.

3. Playing time: Of the 5 games I've played, the first 4 were anywhere from 33-37 hours to finish. The last was well under, more like 25-26 hours.

4. If you want a decent change, play a melee-less game. I did that for my last game. Beating Malak wasn't too bad. I threw on Jedi Robes so I could 'feed' just as he did, and used Advanced Energy Resistance to survive most of his attacks.
I played as a Scout/Sentinel that game...or was it a Scoundrel/Sentinel...I know I use Sentinel because I wanted to Force Immunities.

Motti... On what do you base that rididculous opinion? I know from experience the Xbox version certainly doesn't suck. I played through twice for Bob's sake! (Bob was my character the first time through-- Bob of Earth)

The PC version may be better, but my computer is too screwed-up for it.

ok, let me rephrase... the xbox version sucks compared to the pc version.

Just curious, KOTOR is single player only right? No multiplayer options?
Author
Time
yup singleplayer... ´the best SW game ive played next to the Jedi Knight series.

Yeah. I'm not sure multiplayer would work verywell considering the type of game KotoR is. It's not anything like a traditional console RPG so if that is what your expecting you might be dissapointed.

Ok, my primary experience with RPG is Final Fantasy, would you say it has a feel like that or somewhat but more leaning straight into Jedi Knight?
Author
Time
its a mix... but more of final fantasy than Jedi Knight. you dont do your fights on your own, but it matters not... its so cool!

Yeah. It is somewhere in between. It used the same rules as the Dungeons and Dragons paper and pen game, so if you know anything about that then you'll know what to expect. For more info you could go to

Gamespot.
