What’s It About?

This is a fan-edit of, in my opinion, a very underlooked KR movie, Knight Rider 2000 (since Knight Rider is returning with a new pilot movie starring David Hasselhoff in a cameo role, we may as well welcome it’s return with a fanedit), this time it tries to make better use of the danger of the handgun conspiracy, putting it at the beggining of the film in a lengthy pre-opening sequence.

Also edited out is the nonsensical death of Devon Miles, restoring Edward Mulhare to the living for the entirety of the movie. He simply remains the moderative mentor caught between Micheal and Maddock

Cuts removed/added/extended:

-Title Sequence and Hasselhoff/Mulhare credits pushed back, allowing Watt’s release from cryogenic imprisonment and Shawn’s actions during the handgun seige that kills the Mayor to take center fold

-After the city switches from night to day, we go to the Knight 4000 demo meeting.

-Devon’s death and funeral have been cut

-Micheal punching Maddock has been cut

-Devon waits until the conclusion of the movie to congratulate Maddock, Maddock’s lines about losing faith in human beings and never expecting respect work better as a moment of closure in the movie

-Minor scenes have been shuffled around.

-Micheal morning Devon’s death is cut. Instead it’s edited to look like Maddock is showing off K.I.F.T to Devon near Micheal’s country ranch, whilst Micheal and Shawn are hanging around the area, with Micheal pissed off about K.I.T.T’s condition. The scene ends when Shawn says she needs Micheal and that he has shown superior traits over her.
