This should work, as long as the frame rate between old and new source material is the same:
1. Trim your new source to so that it begins on the same frame as your old material. 2. Open your premiere project and right click on the old source in the project window, select "Unlink Media" 3. You'll be given two options. Select "Media Files Remain on Disk" and OK. Your footage will now be considered "offline" 4. Right click on the old source again and this time select "Link Media" 5. Point it to your new source file and hit OK.
Assuming the new source isn't edited differently than your old source, then all your edits should look good, although you might want to go over the whole project carefully. Depending on how your old source was captured (by video camera in theatre?), a frame here or there might be off, but it should be easy to fix.
If it doesn't look right, you may need to right click on the source and select "Interpret Footage" to change the aspect ratio (or frame rate, although if the frame rate is different, this probably won't give you a good end product.
If you want to send them through to me I'll happily host them:

Coincidentally I've just finished some menus for this edit that I've had the approval of Spence for and I'm sending him over a newly authored disc, should he be enamoured on the covers too, I'll add them to the DVD_ROM folder for future editions.

I certainly could D_J - it depends if Spence wants to have another version floating around out there !
My suggestion would be, since it's already had some time on Demonoid that maybe it could be Spleened. We'd need someone who had uploader status though who wouldn't mind upping it and then I'd happily take over the seeding of it. Hmmmmmmmmmm, wonder if anyone would be up for that
I should have said that Jim's white on white text on the back of the cover is in fact perfectly legible, in case the preview makes it look a little washed out. I'll send you an email Jim about a few changes that could be made and CC Spence into them.
I love the artwork, I'd love to get the menu'd version up on the spleen, if anyone can help us with that. Sorry about the lack of seeds, I've had no internet access for the last couple of days.
When I came to print out the cover for King Kong The Spence Edit I found the logo down the spine was way off centre, the dimensions of the cover where wrong at 3252x2180 pixels when it should be 3240x2175, so I've taken the liberty to make my own based on the cover by e888boo
I hope neither Spence, e888boo or meedermow mind me doing this.
I've made two versions, the disk art is different to e888boo's, but it closely matches the covers, the disk art is full face
Hey Spence, great work on this edit! My wife and I just finished watching it. When I saw this in the theatre, my first thought was on how much this could be edited. I didn't miss a thing that you took out. This is a major improvement over the official version. Pretty damned seemless too. Good job and thanks!
