Ok so this DVD did get made, by me. Unfortunately my 'client' wanted some time to be able to ship these around to the big collectors before the rest of us could get our hands on them.
If you have a search around on google, it seems as though someone has uploaded it.

Seems like there were a bunch of others from the same time period:
Meccano to Tri-Logo by Stephane Faucort
Irwin Toys: The Canadian Star Wars Connection by James McCallum
Kenner Star Wars Commercials DVD by Chris Georgoulias
The Vintage Glasslite Commercial Collection DVD by Shane Turgeon

Whoo! "Big collectors"!
If the active members of this board don't fit that description, who does? :-)

The first two are books. I have Chris's DVD which was recently uploaded by someone here. Is there a difference between JD's?
And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.
There's no difference. I made it for Chris.

Wow. He didn't have the time to mention that when he was taking all the credit to himself then, when I said that it was being shared. He was a little pissed that it got leaked, weird!

Well if the original tapes and digital conversions originated from him then the case can be made that it is his responsibility if the leaked DVD got wide attention. Him being one of the significant SW collectors, his reputation in those higher up communities is at stake. When the leak took place, the person said they bought it from rebelscum, so with money involved more people are bound to get excited. and again because he is an upper eschelon collector, even if the sales were to cover costs, it can be seen as bad form. video is still an awkward collection hobby. on one hand most of this stuff is on free hosting sites, on the other the professional authoring has some value and somewhere in between is the cultural value of the information in the video...

Well, of course, but I meant that it was always his DVD and his time and effort that went to it not once mentioning (at least I haven't seen) that it was actually made by someone else. I know that it isn't cheap to get those commercials and it takes time to hunt them down but still, sounds a little weird that JD did the DVD while Chris was making money out of it without mentioning him and then getting pissed that something he didn't even made got leaked. Now, if I'm wrong in some details then I apologize but this is the impression I've gotten.
Btw, the DVD is great JD, great work! That reminds me, I could make a cover for it. :P

Is this DVD still up anywhere? The version I downloaded was bad. Could not read. Some rars incomplete.

220 days ago on a.b.sw. Which should be the same as tehparadox version, AvP mentioned a few posts ago. So since there are a set of PARs there, if you start downloading them, if might fix the incomplete RARs you've already downloaded.
