Jurassic Park films

Since my favorite movie after the OT is Jurassic Park, I thought it would certainly need a thread of its own. Unfortunately its every sequel is worse than its precedessor… I just saw JW: TFK and it was the worst movie I’ve seen on screen since Man of Steel. Luckily it was half price but if I didn’t pay for it or it was on TV, I would’ve stopped watching. A disgrace for the franchise.

They’ve also released the others on 4K, has anyone bought those yet?

And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.

I love Jurassic Park for obvious reasons, but for some reason I really like Jurassic Park III as well. I have ever since I first saw it a few years ago. The rest of the sequels I can take or leave (haven’t seen the new one yet).

Not enough people read the EU.

Jurassic Park is great, of course. I haven’t seen The Lost World in a long time, but I remember it being palatable. The rest has been a joke. No plans to see JW2.

I don’t have them. Nor a 4K set for that matter, but Bill Hunt has put up a review.

TL;DR, an improvement over Blu-Ray, but the early 90s CGI has its limits and isn’t that much better on 4K.

I would put this in my sig if I weren’t so lazy.

It’s fine.

Apparently it’s overrated though, if it’s in someone’s top four.

Jurassic Park - brilliant.
The Lost World - very good.
Jurassic Park 3 - pretty bad.
Jurassic World - crap
JW2 - don’t plan to see it

Just saw JP5:JW2:FK1. Thought it wasn’t bad actually. On the high end of the sequels.

I’m still disappointed that it’s not titled The Lost Park: Jurassic World.

It should be called The Lost Park: Jurassic World.

“Fallen Kingdom” is fine and all, but I definitely feel like it was a missed opportunity to not call it “The Lost Park: Jurassic World.”

it really should have been called “The Lost Jurassic: A Dinosaur Story”

“The Land After Time: We’re Back! A Dinotopia Movie”

I got the first Jurassic Park movie on DVD on my 5th birthday and it instantly became my favorite movie until I discovered Star Wars and Indy. I still love the movie to this day and the one word I think describes it best is: genius. In fact, in High School I finally got around the reading the original novels which were great too. Each time I re-watch the film there’s always something new I find to appreciate.

I haven’t seen the 2nd or 3rd films in ages so I’ll need to watch them to see how I like them, but I know for a fact that I couldn’t care less for the newer Jurassic World films. I’ve seen the first season of the tie-in animated series Camp Cretaceous and thought it was fairly decent though.

Move along, move along.

Ahhh, the “I feel old” sensation I’ve heard so much about. So that’s what it feels like.

I refuse to dehumanize anyone. Your ethical/moral/political/religious views may be utterly repugnant to me, but I strive to hold Luke 23:34 close to my heart.

I liked the third Jurassic World film and how it brought both casts together. But it didn’t make much sense. The first was a requel of the original film. I hated that. So Disney Star Wars Force Awakens being a remake of Star Wars 77.

I have to revisit the original JP film. I have the CAV laserdisc, and i meant to get the making of and sit down and watch both but i never got around to it.
