Putting his voice back would be the most fitting memorial.
He passed away on Christmas, but the news only broke a few hours ago.

I had no idea he did a third season episode of Star Trek either!
R.I.P
Where were you in '77?
Sad news indeed. My condolences to his family.
But you know what’d be an even better way of memorializing this actor than a three-line Internet forum post? PUTTING HIS VOICE BACK IN THE DAMN SW MOVIES FOR A PROPER HOME VIDEO OOT RELEASE.
“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”
I sadly have more ingrained memories of the 2004 voice (it’s even depressing that an upcoming generation of SW fans will not know of his Boba Fett role), but Jason’s voice definitely faintly registers in my mind when the old '97 VHS still had a life in them. Wingreen gave Boba Fett more character for sure and I applaud him for it, especially for taking part in one of my all time favorite Star Wars movies!
Thank you Jason Wingreen, and may the Force be with you, always.

Agreed. (Also: This post makes me sad this forum has no “Like” button.)

Wingree’s voice acting was so much better than Morrison’s. Not even close. RIP
