The only thing I enjoy about Moonraker is the cool opening scene, and the fact that James Bond and Jaws came to Brazil, with amusing results.

Next 007 villain will be... Palpatine.

Yes I liked that opening sequence too. But I didn't like how Jaws was portrayed. He was too pussified compared to his role in The Spy Who Loved Me.

Well, that's because he fell in love. Even 2.4meters freaks with teeth made of steel can find true love.

Best Bond movies of each Bond:
Connery: Goldfinger (no-brainer)
Lazenby: OHMSS (that was hard!)
Moore: The Spy Who Loved Me
Dalton: Licence to Kill
Brosnan: GoldenEye

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Agree on all of those, but not on Brosnan, I kinda like "The World is not Enough" better. And with "Die another Day", the CHEESE got back into the Bond series, something I haven't seen since Moonraker.

Roger Moore is at his darkest best in For Your Eyes Only. Moore had regrets about the way he was portrayed.

Sean, I know for a fact that Shirley Eaton did not survive that paint job. I have an uncle that used to work in Hollywood and worked on the set of Goldfinger. They shot that scene on a closed set, only a few people were let into the room, because Shirley didn't want everyone to see her naked. After shooting was over my uncle was working outside when he accidentally saw two crew members carrying her golden body out of a back door. She was found dead in her apartment a month later from a drug overdose. But no one had heard from her before that happened. In fact the coroner ruled that her body had be deceased for at least three weeks before discovery. When police found her she was badly decomposed and hundreds of flies were crawling over the windows trying to get in. When my uncle first saw the men carrying her body out of the sound stage he thought she was passed out because of her known drug problems. But now he theorizes that she died while on set from paint-suffocation and the producers of the movie covered it up.

Okay Saboteur, despite my apparent desire to kill you (as posted in the Banning Jimbo thread), I have to say I agree with you on your taste in Bond flicks. I like the dark stuff. I like Bond being more of a secret agent and less of a cornball. Dalton was very good in the role and he got shafted by fans.

As for my faves (both my fave films by each actor and the actors are in the order that I best like them)...

Moore - For Your Eyes Only
Dalton - License to Kill
Connery - Goldfinger
Brosnan - The World is Not Enough (sorry, but GoldenEye bored me to tears)
Lazenby - haven't seen it, but I'm guessing my pick would likely be OHMSS (duh)

Here are mine:

Connery: Goldfinger
Moore: The Man With The Golden Gun.
Dalton: The Living Daylights
Lazenby: no need to answer
Brosnan: Tomorrow Never Dies

Like I said before, I think the cornball stuff made the movies fun. Sure it can be overdone. But in most cases I don't think it was. And yeah maybe Dalton did get a raw deal.

Saboteur,

if what you say is true how come it did not come out for this many years? Also why would she have to be naked for the scene there were no shots of her private parts in the movie? Also where did the Studio hide the body for three weeks? Another thing you're going to tell me that all her friends and family didn't hear or see her for three weeks and didn't call the cops, try to find her, or break into her aparment to make sure she was ok? And what did the coroner say was the cause of death drug overdose of suffocation? Finaly how does your uncle know what he saw the men carrying wasn't a painted dummy made to look like her?
