Yeah, I guess so. But for Eon to say "Quentin Tarantino is directing the next Bond flick" and not have purists revolt is highly unlikely regardless of how true to the source material Tarantino intends to be. Just the name Tarantino elicits some funky thoughts in peoples' heads.

Fair enough, although it wouldn't be the first time Eon has used a well-known director in an effort to spruce up the franchise.

i think it would be cool. QT could very well put bond back in a 60's 70's style movie.

I've always thought that every Bond movie should've been set in the mid-60s. I mean, makes no sense to have a Bond in the 21st century, a Bond in the 60s, and they're both the same person... Besides, Bond dosen't belong in today's world, he is - like M once said - a reliq from the Cold War.

Pretty soon, Bond will be the first British Secret Agent to have lived through 6 decades and still be an active agent. That's a helluva feat.
