J. Williams & LSO: The EMPIRE STRIKES BACK Restored Score: the *AUDIOPHILE EDITION* (Covers & Documentary Booklet) — Page 3

ABC, you should really make a big book with your work. It would be a neat accompaniment to a box set of your restorations.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

... What kind ?

The booklet gets big enough: from about 40 pages forseen in the begining it actually comes to almost 60... lol! There must be about 15 pages of liner notes and credits- including a couple of pages for transitions - and believe me they're not too talkative: there's only the essential (... Nevertheless, the essential of all).

I am talking a big booklet for the whole trilogy!!!

Oh, I see. I've been tempted to think so, but I decided ESB would be the only one to have that special care. It just deserved it. You guys on these forums should IMHO stop thinking by "3" or "6", and try at least to get "1" to something a little more exceptional. ;)

PS to Eyeshotfirst: ... and it's too much work, even beeing very quick myself with the tools. I haven't made it "to make" it. ;)

Don't know anymore wich cover will be featured and where (Sleeve or main cover)... But sure this one is finished and will be used. Indeed the classic font "sounds" better.

Your name is Bearnaise? I was just quoting one of my favorite movies, History of the World Part I.

I just really love that poster, so this one is my favorite no matter what.

Sure it has nice color. Btw, I'd be glad taking a closer look at yours, it looks to have a nice color treatment, don't know if you have corrected it. (I haven't done it myself for now as it's not the same file I used before).

Msycamore, There's only one way IMO to admire the logo in its glory:

You got it!!!

I did the colour correction to it. As you can see it isn't as sharp as it should be, but that was the best I could work with.

EDIT if you click download, you should get a much bigger image

EDIT AGAIN: here is a better link to it

Woops, it is still the same size. What is a better site for stuff like this? I won't use DeviantART anymore because people were getting mad at me for using Lucasfilm LTD material.

I'm sorry to announce you your image is horizontaly shrinked !

And if the one you posted is the bigger you have, it's really low res.

But yes, nice colors (looks close to the OE cover ones, no ?... But with better reds notably).

It can still be useful for you though. It could be a good colour layer in photoshop. That way you get the colour but keep the crispness.

You wouldn't be insulted if I asked for a better resolution copy of that poster, would you?

Here's the last one I'll be posting there - wouldn't be fun if I posted all the visuals while they're getting done, leaving that way no further surprise !

May I present, the definitive cover of the "audiophile edition", no matter what...

Three very badass guys there! maybe you could do an alternative one with the Maestro himself: John Williams, just an idea.

Thanks, the negative one is cool but the "normal" one is perfect.
