BTW, what is the best way to start out in Monty Python? The movies or the show? I've seen The Holy Grail(who hasn't?), where should I go from here?

I'd say, watch the movie "And now for something completely different". It's a re-shoot on film of their best sketches from the first two seasons, and sums up pretty well their comedy. Then watch either Life of Brian, or the Flying Circus series itself - or go for the Live at the Hollywwod Bowl, which is a live presentation of some of their best sketches.

I started out with Monty Python and the Holy Grail in sixth grade, and not long after that my dad got DirecTV, which had BBC America. So then I got to watch Flying Circus, the first episode of which I saw was the one featuring Bicycle Repair Man. It got me hooked, so I guess that's one way to start out.


Note: Monty Python's The Meaning of Life is NOT for someone just starting out with the Pythons. I've been a die-hard fan for about five years now and I still have trouble sitting through it.

Yeah. I'm not Monty Python fan, and I outright hated Holy Grail, but at the same time I can appreciate pop-culture refferences to it and the parts of MP that ARE funny... and you really don't have to bash it. I swear, it makes you look like an immature 13 year old.

I happen to be embarrased about the way I acted on the net when I was 13.
