I must be frank Your Majesty, but I don’t care what you think about the Hobbit movies, if you think they’re comparable to the PT, you’re smoking something I’d like to share in.
Let’s compare ROTS to BOTFA:
So yeah, I’d say they suffer from the same kind of problems, the acting and overall execution may be a bit better in the Hobbit movie, though.

The only Hobbit movie I actually really dislike is BOTFA. The other two, while greatly inferior to the LOTR movies, are enjoyable at times. I have big problems with all of them but they aren’t horrible, and certainly nowhere near as bad as the PT.
.
I didn’t say they were as bad as the PT, just that the problems I have with BOTFA are of the same kind as the problems of the PT. And the first two Hobbit movies weren’t terrible.

The Hobbit films did, like the prequels, seem to suffer from just too much stuff going on that was ultimately irrelevant to the overall plot. I personally found the Hobbit movies to be well-made, but just incredibly boring, while the prequels were poorly made and even more boring.
The Person in Question
I liked all the Hobbit movies.
I did not dislike them, or like them. I think a lot of people overreacted to them though for not living up to the Lord of the Rings movies in their eyes. Almost like people were just dying to make a PT-Hobbit comparison.
The Person in Question
I loved the LotR movies, some of my favorite films of all time. I really liked the first Hobbit movie, the 2nd was alright, the last one was “meh.”
A couple weeks ago I DL’d the Maple Films Edit and burned it to 2 DL BD’s.
It is fucking phenomenal. Some guy did a review of it on YouTube.
