One obvious integration point would be to make the Gungans into Mon Calamari though I concede it would be easier the other way around.

Both are aquarian races.

They book-end the saga.

Shield technology is comes into play in both plots.

You could even make a good case for having Endor their world which they share with the Ewoks.

And Padme (Queen of Alderaan) could have stolen their sacred energy pearl which can be used to generate a powerful force field.

One could be in the dish bunker and protecting the second Death Star.

Not really.

If you were doing a film about World War 2 you could pretend that their were thirty or forty French speaking cultures.

Having four European ones doesn't shrink the Earth.

Yeah I always thought they should have used Mon Calamari instead of Gungans. And, I mean, people call SW a universe, but it's really just a galaxy.

If we want to integrate the two trilogies, let's be honest: someone needs to figure out what the hell Luke was talking about when he said Dagobah seemed "familiar."

haha old video! it is shocking how easy that was to do. someone mentioned earlier about hints of padme leaking into the OT. I had some thoughts on this a while back first is simple. leia at various points should be seen to wear the bone carved necklace anakin gave padme in TPM. when luke and leia have their heart-to-heart on endor later on, and are talking about their 'mother', leia could give it to luke. (perhaps just shots of a costumed extra omitting her face and passing it to another extra in luke's garb. an effective voice actor could say 'she gave me this, take it, it will bring you luck' or someting like that.) when luke is defeated by the emperor later on, he could drop it, and it could act as an additional visual tool to show vader's conflict. better still he might get cremated later on wearing it. second is way more ambitious i always advocate ROTJ becoming 50% fanedit 50% fanfilm, with additional characters, subplots and material being introduced from a similar PT overhaul. all the additional rebel staff (mon mothma, ackbar, nadine etc) get swapped out for new characters who would get to do more stuff in the PT and additional scenes. one such character could be padme, who for some expositional reason could mention that the time isn't right to be reuinited with luke/leia. if the whole leia sister subplot is boxed then loads more fun could rise from this.

When I was trying to guess what we would see in Episode III, I was certain wed get a shot of Obi-Wan and Yoda and Baby Luke on Dagobah. So bummed.

Here's a fun idea.

 

How about in ESB when they are in the carbonite chamber. Chewie begins to fight with 3P0 on his back. How about we cut in a quick close up of Vader's face, and cut to a slow mo close up of 3P0. Then cut back to the next shot of Boba Fett preparing to shoot. But make it slow motion and cut in a slowed down version of NOOOOOOOOO.

 

Clearly the scene is about Vader wanting to save the droid he built from being shot by Boba Fett, but this way it will be more obvious.

What if... every pupil of Sidious was renamed Vader? So, the audience could think that Vader is Dooku or some... another aprentice?
