Howdy!
If this isn’t correct, please disregard/delete, I’m new here.
I’ve been hunting for Peter Bogdonovich’s Nickelodeon (1976), the director’s cut with the extra run-time length and it being his preferred Black-and-White, but I’ve had absolutely no luck. I’ve noticed that the film has very limited ability, and the DVD/Blu-Ray copies are foreign and obscenely high (never mind, unlikely to be the Director’s), and there are select PVOD services like Vudu, Google Play in the US that have the colour version on-sale for far more than it would usually be, and I do live elsewhere.
I’ve discovered that the Director’s Cut has aired on (long live) TCM in recent years, and there is a modern VHS taping of the B/W on Archive (I’m not sure if I’m able to share here?) that also features a frail Bogdonovich at the end, but the quality is as expected with a VHS recording.
TLDR; I’m looking for Nickelodeon (1976) Director’s Cut, and I’m not sure if anyone has a restoration project they’ve worked on with it, or are aware of any?
Thanks!
