The Official Ewoks Season 1 and 2 DVD release board.

Well, I received the whole season of the animated series, Ewoks, and I have discovered the quality of these episodes are HORRID. I am working to encode these episodes onto a 3 disc set, while working with the quality of these episodes. I am going to be encoding all of these episodes on TMPGEnc, and I will be making the DVD on DVD-Lab Pro. The menus will be superb and I am going to add some special features to this set. I am also editing the commericals out of Season 2. I will be recording my progress on this board.

I just have one question, does anyone know of the font used for the Ewoks logo?

Rock. Nirvana. Awsomeness.

I'm thinking the font is 'crazy ass 80's' which was used in everything. Sorry.

Sounds like a neat project, good luck! What was in the 'official' DVD release a while ago? Was it selected episodes or the complete series?

It was selected episodes edited into a movie.

NOTE: I may even consider making a documentary titled "The Magic of Ewoks" for the DVD release.

Thanks - glad I passed on it.

I quickly googled the Eok font, and while what you're looking for didn't come up, some font supposedly used in the cartoon did, which is here:

Ewok Symbol Font

Looks like a symbol font from the cartoon, which I don't recognize as I'm not overly familiar with the show. I only watched it as a kid, albeit religiously.

Thanks for searching, I already have that font and will be using it for the menus. It is a great and unique symbol font.

If anyone cares, I am also revamping my Ewoks covers, so they will look great.

I have re-encoded (to MPEG-2) and edited the commercials out of the first four eps of Season 2 on TMPGenc. Both are 12 minutes and since I am trying to aim for the best quality, I set the bit rate of each episode to about 4.5 MBPS and upped the file size from around 60 MB to 400 MB.

P.S. Sorry for the repetitive posts, I just want to keep this board alive.

To Rikter's question, the transfer was from a VHS Tape.

After reviewing it, I can conclude that the quality isn't as bad as I put it out to be. It is about as good as some of MST3k's KTMA transfers, IMHO.
