does anyone have an answer to my previous message?
does anyone have an answer to my previous message?
Just chiming in to answer "no." ;(
I never had the nerve to make the final cut.
No, I don't have an answer either, sadly.
“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”
Actually, I do have an answer. I'll whisper it to you.
"No."
Sorry for the double post. IBM won't mind.
“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”
My whisper was wrong, I'm afraid.
I'll whisper again.
"Yes." It's The Phantom Edit. If you Google it you should be able to find a link.
I wonder if my old IBM 1000 still works....
“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”
no i mean about if all of the 2d clone wars is no longer canon anakin's knighthood and c3po getting his gold plates stuff like that.
Try typing in English. It'd help everyone understand just what the hell it is you're trying to ask.

The answer is "yes."
My curiosity got the best of me.
do you mean yes they're no longer canon?
"Yes" as in "Yes, they're not non-canon, but only from a certain point of view; from other points of view -- such as a bird's eye view -- they are canon, while from a worm's eye view, they're not canon, but neither are they non-canon. Of course, from a fish's eye view, they're both not canon and non-canon depending on whether the weather's fair or unfair today, tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow."
The eagle's-eye view says that nothing is canon--not the prequels, not ROTJ, not ESB, and not even SW 1977.
“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”
For now we see but a walking shadow of a poor player, strutting and fretting his twelve hours upon a silver screen, darkly.
But soon, I hope, we shall meet face to face, and the veil of secrecy shall be pierced. For on my Father's ranch there are many mansions.
For those of you confused by these words, I can only offer the defense of Penny Arcade: "It's not for you."
“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”
To be absolutely crystal clear:
The 2003-2005 Clone Wars "micro-series" is entirely non-canon in the current Disney/LFL universe. And yes, that includes the way Anakin is Knighted and the way Threepio gets his gold plating.
Both of those things obviously happened, but there is currently no canon story that describes either event.

so basically your saying i'm wasting my time with the 2d just like i wasted my time with the force unleashed series and the darth palgius novel. sorry if i spelled his name wrong it's a hard name to spell. also the knights of the old republic series and the old republic mmo and battlefront 2 story set after revenge of the sith and shadows of the empire.
No, you didn't waste your time with them because they are still there, they are still books/shows/games, and you can still enjoy them. What should determine whether they were a waste of time or not is how well they were written/made.
I'm wasting my time reading this thread.
I like the microseries and remember it fondly. It bridges the gap between Episodes II and III organically, because that's when it was produced. I'd rather watch it a hundred times than watch the 3D series again. Only bad thing is it conditions you to be disappointed with Grievous in Episode III.
I never had the nerve to make the final cut.
well i feel sorta like i wasted my time because i like to view the canon stories of the series. but what i don't get is how the stuff before the phantom menace is now no longer canon. does it contradict the prequels the clone wars and the original trilogy now if not what stories still can fit in the canon?

It's easier to make a clean break and declare only the films and the current TV shows as canon instead of wading through each and every PT-era novel, comic, short story, etc. trying to figure out which ones fit and which ones don't.
does it contradict the prequels the clone wars and the original trilogy now if not what stories still can fit in the canon?
Why are you asking us to do research on a topic only you have an interest in?! Do your own damn homework!
Nothing is canon--except the secret canon. That is canon... in here. (taps forehead)
Forget C-canon, and G-canon... look for the X-canon. You will find it if you sail against the new dawn, into the Uttermost East of the world, at the fall of night on the thirteenth day.

Star Wars Gnosticism....I never thought I'd see the day....
The hour is late, but it has come, and better late than never.
The white eagle, its hour come round at last, flies into the pyre of Gehenna, to die and be reborn as a fiery phoenix.
Your name is wrong, by the way. Death is not the end, not for those whose offspring are the tales in the minds and hearts of men.
Who knows what stories lie in the breasts of men? The Flammifer, the Lucifer, the Skywalker knows. I know, for I am he and he is me.
