PC Graphic Chipsets...

As I mentioned in the "Things we hate" thread, my brother tried to install Call of Duty 2 on this brand new computer we got for Christmas. It crashes on launch.

The only thing I can think that would be wrong is our chipset, which isn't on the supported list. It SHOULD be powerful enough to run it, but it crashes anyway. Does the game only work specifically with ATI and nVidia chips? Shouldn't that be illiegal?

It's often that those are the only chipsets it has been tested on, so they're the only ones with support. What chipset are you running?

I would suggest a 256 MB graphic card at least. My computer want let me play games and it has a 128 MB graphic card but it is integrated into the system so half of it used by other programs.Radeon and Geforce are accepted by almost all games. Check some of those out.

Integrated video cards = crap.

Sorry. At least, that's what I've heard.
