There are so many out there, what is the best quality DVD of the original original trilogy? There are so many to choose from. Of the ones out there, which do you recommend?

The question was what the best available OOT DVD was.

I think I've got a certain right to be included in this list ..... as creating the best available OOT DVD was in fact my goal. =)

I certainly did not mean to offend anyone. I should have phrased the question different. I meant LD transfers, not re-creations.

I'm partial to the Edit Droid set, due to the overall presentation. Just my preference.

There's many things to consider when gauging the "best" which is entirely subjective. Pound for pound though, I've enjoyed the hell out of the ED set.

I guess it's about time for this poll again, but it should really include all the recent releases: Citizen, Grinder, and all - otherwise there's a fair chance "other" will win, which tells you nothing. Also, Rowman doesn't have an OOT transfer, AFAIK.

OK. I redid the poll. If there are any missing, please let me know. I included OCP's and the others I found. Also, how are these available? As a torrent etc.

is it possible to convert the moth3r pal to ntsc?

Already been done, my friend. And THOSE discs I personally think are the absolute best in terms of picture quality and sound. ROTJ isn't around, though.

Mentasm?

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

I dunno about some of the others, but my friend recently made me copies of the OCP Classics, and they look and sound really good to me. I like them very much! Thanks OCP for doing such a great job!

The Best PRESERVATION is Moth3rs Version!
But the Inovation is OCP CE! Especially TESB+ROTJ!

That Mentasm's friend project never materialised here AFAIK. The poll results are pretty meaningless as many votes were cast before all the choices were included - maybe start again?

I'm a Moth3r fan myself. I bet I'd quite like Doctor M's remix.

I'm very content with Moth3r's discs, so I'll vote for those!

As straight preservation I will go for the Moth3r set, but I also really like OcpMovie's Classic Editions and the MBJ Star Wars (A New Hope) disc
