That's his stated intension.
Hopefully the Vogons will not find this Earth before he finishes.
I mean, I realize he’s editing the OT for them to be both closer to their original showcase, and to fit with the prequel trilogy, but I was wondering if he could edit the prequels at some point in the future. Especially AOTC, which I think could be edited to have a better pace as a story, and also improved in its love story with the insertion of several deleted scenes (like the one with Padme’s parents and all).
What do you think?

If I'm not mistaken, adywan has on numerous occasions stated he wants to make the prequels fit more with the OT, not the other way around. And thank God for that!
He's going to do the prequels, but not until after ROTJ:R. So we won't be seeing any PT:R for quite a while, I'd say - probably not until 2013 or 2014. Which means he probably won't be done with the whole "saga" until 2020-ish.
I'm interested to see what he's going to do with them, but I don't really care too much, to be honest. I don't think they can be made into films worthy of the Star Wars name, no matter who's fixing them.
But hey, if anyone can do it, Adywan can, right?
I don't get what you want to achieve with this thread...
What films a faneditor works on his decision, not yours, not ours.

You said it. I'm sure he'll make as good a stab at it as anyone, but those movies would take more work than I think is possible with available material.
Although, given the time frame we're looking at for Ady to get around to the prequels, the Blu-rays will doubtless be out and probably more deleted footage. Maybe not, but by then it's a possibility.

The idea has been out there for some time for someone to try and do an ONE prequel film together using the three films.
The idea is that TPM with little Annie would essentially be a prologue and montage with then ROTS serving as the true time film with flashbacks to AOTC moments, etc.
Kinda like the old Godfather edit from the '90's where Coppola edited it together.

Considering that we still haven't gotten DVD-quality versions of the deleted scenes from ANH, ESB, or ROTJ (such as the Biggs Darklighter scenes that we KNOW exist), I wouldn't hold my breath on getting any new deleted scenes for the Prequels.
All the editing in the world isn't going to fix the bad acting and horribly awkward dialogue.

You said it, brother! Hardly any observational acting at all.

My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.
Just a reminder, if you want to see cutlist scripts for both of those (and a whole mess of other prequel edits), follow the link in my sig.

I don't think the prequels are that bad. Seriously just changing Jar Jar's voice, making Anakin less whiney and more strong, restoring John Williams cut music and adding/adjusting scenes here and there can save the prequels.

I'm most interested in knowing whether he plans to do all new sequences with models and the like, as he's doing with ESB and ROTJ. I mean, the PT is easily the most fequent target of fanedits, of any films ever, so edits have been done, and some things like colour correction ,lightsaber colour changes, all that, they've been done too, but a huge scale redesign hasn't ever been done, and I'd lvoe see what Adywan could cook up to improve the prequels.
Plus his skill level with this sort of thing is going to be phenomenal after ROTJ: R, so I really can't wait for PT: R.
I think he already plans to do it......and if so he'll likely do an awesome job. However it so far off I can't wrap my mind around it.
Right now I'm mostly looking forward to EsB and then RoTJ.
I would be more interested to see Adywan do the PT rather than him wasting his time editing 4 star movies. If Adywan does a good enough job with these next 2 OT edits, who knows? mabey Lucas would give Ady permission to use his tech and edit the PT for him.
I don't know why he is editing ANH and ESB. His true test will be ROTJ. That film actually needs some work.

Yikes.
There are tons of people who are thrilled he is "wasting his time".

Ghost is English you first language?
I don't mean to be rude but I find it difficult to follow much of what you post and you seem to find it difficult to understand what people are saying to you.
Is it a language problem?
The problem with an edit is it uses material already shot for the movie, and for the most part does not make new material (I understand Adywan DOES in fact make additions, but for the most part they're small and flow well with whats already created)......and the problem with the PT is not that Lucas didn't do what he did well......its that he didn't do what he should have. Instead of making the fall of Anakin Skywalker a character based story, its one long action set piece....all 3 bloody movies. Its just Lucas going "hey check this out" and "hey, look what I can do" and "how cool does THIS look?", over and over and OVER. Not only does he not make any convincing attempt to link the look and feel of the PT to the OT, but he blatantly disregards previously created story elements or plot points (ie: "...there you will learn from Yoda, the jedi master who instructed me"). He even goes as far as doing the same thing within the same trilogy (ie: the sneak peek at Aura Sing, the new episode 2 bounty hunter....who mysteriously never showed up again) (although it could be argued that it was just a marketing ploy to sell some toys). So You can't really improve the story in a movie that barely has one. What made the OT great was that it was so many different genres, well mixed to look like it was only one. It was a sci/fi, fantasy, western woven into a family drama. The PT is sci/fi and thats it.....and it even tries to go back and retroactively kill some of the other genres from the OT....I mean, midi-clorians....wtf?
I'm not saying it shouldn't be tried.....I just dont think that the expectations that this will meet with the same success as Adywan's OT Revisited are all that realistic. The OT Revisited is an excellent trilogy, receiving a few much needed tweaks....the PT is a hopeless mess, that CAN be made better, but that IMHO I don't think can be made good. Those who already liked it will like it more, but I don't think the haters are going to convert because for the most part I dont think they agree with the trilogy Lucas decided to make. I would most sincerely like for Adywan to prove me wrong, I really would........time will tell
