Info Wanted: MUSE HI-Vision LDs - has anyone done a preservation of this?

Has anyone done a project using these LaserDiscs? These would be perfect fodder for preservation.

Not to my knowledge. Though this would be an awesome preservation project for titles like the Back to the Future trilogy, Jurassic Park, E.T., Close Encounters:Special Edition, Lawrence of Arabia, and T2.

The hard part would be acquiring these discs. They are very expensive if you can find them at all.

yeah and you would need an X-O player 0r an X-9 to do it.

We are talking a ballpark figure of thousands of dollars, hundreds if you already own afforementioned player.

It's a neat idea. However, the reviews on this site talk about some MUSE titles having compression artifacts of their own.
