Info Wanted: Identifying "official" despecialized vs altered versions?

I’ve tried to make sure I have the latest / greatest despecialized versions. Thank you to the entire community for creating and continuing this amazing project.

I recently “upgraded” 2.5 to 2.7. And in the process I was checking the differences between my copies of ROTJ as well. I realize that file sizes may differ b/c some people have removed certain audio tracks or subtitles or whatever to keep file sizes down, I guess.

However, in checking the technical specs with MediaInfo, I noticed some differences in the encoding specs. Can you please help me identify which is the “official” processing?

What do you mean? The number of reframes are different, the format profile is different, the # of pixels per frame are different, the Bits/Pixel*Frame are different, and the stream size is different. Something is different about the encoding / compression, even though they are both the AVC version.

Version 1:
Format profile : High@L4.1
Format settings, ReFrames : 5 frames
Bit rate : 13.5 Mb/s
Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.611
Stream size : 12.6 GiB (75%)

Version 2:
Format profile : High@L4
Format settings, ReFrames : 3 frames
Bit rate : 6 341 kb/s
Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.287
Stream size : 5.84 GiB (87%)

Upon reflection, i see that you are aware that your copy doesn’t have all the audio tracks, so the hash is useless for you.

here is the official media info for the ROTJ DE v2.5 video track only:

Bingo. I wasn’t looking to do this the hard way 😉
Thats what I get for trying to save same bandwidth and only get the audio tracks of languages I speak.

Thank you for your help in deciphering this!
