of course it IS the actual documentary, just edited down to make the upload more convenient. It shows partly what Darth Neo posted and partly unseen portions which Darth Neo hasn't provided but which he well knows. It was NOT edited together from Darth Neo's footage as you can see in the foreign subtitles throughout and the narration (Dutch or Norwegian). Isn't this proving that it was broadcasted in at least one other country?
Come on, Neo! Let us know whether this convinces you to share your the better quality version. Remember: If you die tomorrow, your copy may go lost forever! If you share it now and lose it, you can always recover it from your fellow forum friends, right boys?
Look, I will share here everything I have. I mean everything that I haven't seen elsewhere e.g. in Deleted Magic and Empire Building. See how these two great guys shared their hard work, hundreds of hours of gathering and editing footage FOR FREE with the world. With the members of this great forum. Sharing is the only way to make sure these things are conserved! You have the great plan for a good website! You are a giving person, too!
(Upload is at 74%, estimated time to completion: 45 minutes from now)
A German movie magazine had some rare ESB footage in it. It's called Apropos Film. And another UK programme called The Risk Business, however rather bad quality. Both will follow probably tomorrow.
Rok, Do you have a copy of the entire broadcast of The Making of ESB? If so, you should try to upload the entire thing for all of us, especially since Darth Neo doesn't seem to be around anymore. Any sort of quality is better than nothing.

Number 20,
this is all I have. I was making fun when I said I had it all. It was a white lie in reaction to Eric's question in order to convince Darth Neo. This is the complete programme from Dutch or whatever TV. But as you can clearly see, it was edited together from the Making of ESB footage. Perhaps it has even been shown in its entirety there. That TV station must have it in their archives!
Yes, I am sure! Back in those days logos were not commonplace. It is a movie special from the the Netherlands or who knows what language this is. Anybody?
Rok--that ESB footage is amazing!! I can't believe this hasnt come out before! Shame that it appears to be an nth generation VHS source, so a lot of the detail is gone, the colours are all off and the whites are blown out--the second-generation copy Darth Neo has is so much nicer looking.
I was wondering, ROK--you really need to make this its own preservation effort. The clips are good but they are low quality, with pixelation and colour noise everywhere. A high quality, full resolution DVD capture is a must. So: what do we have to do to make this happen?
Well i really hope that after seeing the ESB clip that this will persuade Darth Neo to share the Michel Parbot "making of" with us all. After all, it is the 30th anniversary after all
whoa - what is that 5 sec clip at the very end of the parbot footage with hamill in costume? Do you have more of that??
That 5 second clips is also from Dutch Television from some program with hostess Mies Bouwman. I have never seen this and I'm also curious what program it's from. It looks like Mark Hamill made a whole promotion tour in those days (Blue Peter anyone)....
edit*** I used to work for Dutch Television and it is possible to request old shows from the archives from various networks (Got some great shows that I missed that way). I'll ask arround if any of this stuff is still available***edit
I'm not gone but just very busy. I have 4 days of now and am working hard to finish the site enough to release it. Exspect more info in the next few days.
About the other Michel Parbot footage from Dutch Television. I already stated that clips from this making of were certainly used in programs to promote The Empire Strikes Back. I remember seeing this on television.
Darth Neo
p.s. ROK: great stuff there. Could you mail me at starwarsATliquidcourageDOTnl

I'm Dutch. Yes the commentary is Dutch and so are the subs. So this must be in an archive somewhere...
I got this copy years ago from a friend. His VHS copy is one genereation better than my VHS copy, so we should use his tape for the transfer. Perhaps he even has more stuff, such as this Dutch Hamill thing (the last few frames).
Unfortunatly he is on a trip in the US for a couple of weeks. I will get in touch with him as soon as he is back!
I have found someone who has tapes of those shows (the 5 second clip of Mark Hamill). It is called Avro's Telebingo and was presented by Mies Bouwman. I will contact him if he has the show that featured Mark Hamill.
