Info: ROTS The Videogame - edited footage...

This has interested me for awhile, since I bought the videogame right after seeing the movie.

A few things I noticed about the way the movie footage was edited in the game:

The Collective either removed the voices from the battle droids in the Invisible Hand hangar, or it wasn’t inserted yet into the movie audio, either way I always found the droid voices annoying, without the voices I scenes actually improved. (especially the helium sounding Super Battle Droids.)

The rescue of Palpatine has a clip of Dooku saying “just because there are two of you, don’t assume you have the advantage.” I actually like the line, and “I’ve been looking foreward to this”…those two lines are good. The lines “My powers have doubled since the last time we met count… good twice the pride double the fall” which I still think is cheesy sounding, should have been cut…A nice little Dooku theme is played when he flips down to confront the Jedi.

Not related to the game but, for the life I me I still can’t figure out why Palpatine says “yea” when Kenobi is cutting down the Super Battle Droids…

The scene with Anakin and Obi confronting Grievous is improved with the removal of the Grievous/Anakin banter.

The Jedi flying towards Grievous ship is cut down alot, but it has the right idea, no Buzz droids, and all the Anakin rah rah Artoo stuff should have been removed, I just can’t picture Vader/Anakin ever talking to a droid like that.

You get the idea, It’s funny how a films creator with such an imaginitive mind can find humor in what most consider eye roll enducing.

Any chance someone could capture some of these sequences (especially Dooku's cut line) and put it online?

the game is worth it as a source for the extended edit of revenge of the sith, or as a special feature on there with the cut scenes.

“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.

I had a go on this recently.

It's rather fun, it's a bit weird because for tutorial reasons Obi-Wan keeps ordering Anakin around (he is meant to be a Jedi Knight by then) so he comes across as a pushy dad who will never let his kid grown up.

Which makes the character arc actually more believable in some ways.

The Anakin voice is hilarious. Really captures that, "Yes Mrs Patterson" vibe you get with Hayden.

I didn't realized there was additional footage on the videogames.  Well, maybe I better clarify: is there additional footage with the actual actors, or is it CGI with the actors' voices?  I just watched a couple of YouTube videos, and I see that it transitions between film footage and computer footage.  Are the Dooku lines you refer to part of a deleted clip, or are they simply additional lines with a computer generated Dooku?

The hangar scene without helium battle droids would be nice.  Perhaps the audio could just be ripped and edited in to be in sync with the HD footage from the blurays? (on edits of course)

Was it this game where pre-suit Vader could use Force lightning?

Cast
The game utilized many of the cast members of the 2003 animated series Star Wars: Clone Wars. Additionally, stock footage of the actors from the films appeared in many of the game's cinematics. Alethea McGrath reprised her role as Jocasta Nu from Attack of the Clones, while Matthew Wood reprised his voice-role of General Grievous from Revenge of the Sith. James Earl Jones reprised his role as the original voice of Darth Vader for multiplayer mode.
