I've finished 49 minutes of Reloaded and have already cut 20 minutes. (About halfway though the film).

As far as the Oracle clip, I agree that it's rickety. Unfortunately I NEED the original Oracle in that scene and I just don't know what else to do. I was hoping M1 would have enough of her just sitting and smoking like the new Oracle does, but there's nothing useful.

Yup, it's awkward reaction shots, but otherwise Agent Smith would be talking to no-one (which would be worse). I am thinking of changing the second reaction to her saying Bingo since she's big on that in the first 2 films.

As far as trying to color match with filters, maybe. I'll just see when I get to it. It may stand as it is unfortunately. This is proving to be a slow tedious process.

What's funny is I'm going over this film looking at more detail than I ever have, and I'm finding some of what I considered plot holes to be just really subtle detail. It doesn't make it much better though.

I'll be starting a new thread tomorrow with a tentative change list. I hope to be halfway through this film by then.

Hello! I know this is off topic, but as a fellow Matrix fans I'd like to ask you if you have any "Making of" trilogy footage for trade (stuff like TV specials & reviews, premiere footage, etc...). I already have 3 full DVDs with stuff officially not available, such as Press Kit behind the scenes and interviews and I'm desperately trying to locate more. If someone can help, please PM me.

PS I have Press Kit CDs for Reloaded & revolutions, in case someone needs hi-res photos for DVD cover art

"Re-listen to the Architect's speech at the end of M2. You can almost see what I just said."

I get what you are saying, but it's a cheap plot device. Dreams within dreams within dreams (or realities within realities) gets old, and allows the writer to ignore rules that he has already established. The Matrix followed all its own rules. Everything was thrown out the window after that.

Besides, very few movies successfully use the dreams-within-dreams scenario. The Thirteenth Floor immediately comes to mind, but again - it follows established rules throughout the film. No cheats were used.

"I would like to see the agents at the end of the Matrix as a deep brown almost black silouhette with an orange outline like how the programs are represented in the sequels."

With all due respect, the first Matrix is perfect. I wouldn't touch it. Like the Prequels, the sequels should match the original film.

"The first Matrix will be untouched. I find it to be a nearly perfect movie."

LOL....I had already typed my response from the first page, and was pleased to see this on page two.

"The worst problem is that the second movie lacked any real subtext. The third at least attempted to incorporate religious allusions to the story like the original. The second is just a mindless thrill ride and little else."

Agreed. It was all setup.

MeBeJedi: Sadly, I believe the prequels are beyond repair.
JediRandy: They’re certainly beyond any repair you’re capable of making.

MeBeJedi: You aren’t one of us.
Go-Mer-Tonic: I can’t say I find that very disappointing.

JediRandy: I won’t suck as much as a fan edit.
