Nice mockup of the SSD go bye bye Bingowings.

I like that angle or something close.

I would also love a DS2 surface POV as this massive point of the SSD comes into view overhead and Imperial personnel run for cover. Maybe a viewport window over a turret or something.

Yeah, I always thought Vader looked like a conehead. Hopefully Adywan will do something about that. Make his head look more round. I'm not sure what the hell that dent on the back of his head is either. Before ROTS, I always thought it was a lightsaber wound, but now we find out it is burn wounds. Last time I checked, burn wounds don't make dents in your head.

id like to see what he would look like merged with hayden, maybe some of the features could be tweaked perhaps?

That's a good idea if you want to consider the prequels canon. I'm not sure I want to be reminded of Hayden there. I always wondered, why didn't they treat Vader's wounds and give him plastic surgery?

I made one, check previous posts ;)

Vader Kidnapped Dr. Troy From nip tuck so now is ready to conquer Miami..ehm i mean the galaxy.

What was the other one?

The perspective fix in the detention block in ANH.  So the only changes I've ever completely agreed with were in the 2004 version.

Here's Angels' mock up again:

I hope something like this can be pulled off in motion, Vader really needs to be "uglier"

Maybe it was reconstructive surgery and metal plating in his head... i'm not so sure that at the time the idea was that Anakin had merely been burned by lava one way or another.

Even when Vader picked up the Emperor in ROTJ and he's getting hit by force lightning having an x-ray type effect you can see in an instant that Vader has some artificial metal vertebrae in his neck.

Sounds icky but it would be fun to shove those sticky out prong things right up Anakin's nose like they were very uncomfortable breathing tubes.

maybe he could be bleeding? at least from his nose. may provide that extra touch of mortality.

^Yes, interesting idea. Perhaps a little too 20th century, though. (thinking about the fact that he wears a sealed helmet, after all, so it may be a bit superfluous)

Frank Herbert was sticking things up peoples noses in the year 10,981 so I can't see a problem with it a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.

The inside of Vader's helmet already looks rather uncomfortable so sitting an icky tube up his nose could add to that besides it might not just be a breathing tube, it might give him bionic smell.

I thought I'd post this video here (thanks Gaffer Tape) to promote a bit of discussion about how to add a bit more logic into the Jabba rescue.

There are some very valid points here which might be ironed out through discussion.

Are you referring to Dune? Still haven't watched/read it. :p

Yes I was and this weekend I managed to get a friend of mine to watch Blade Runner for the first time so who knows maybe you will enjoy that universe too (though I'd recommend it more as a read than a watch but I like the film and television versions too).

Read it.  I wouldn't recommend either Lynch's film or the Sci-Fi channel's miniseries (though of the two, the miniseries is better overall).  The book, however, is amazing.

Not the Children of Dune miniseries :/
(god damn, that show pissed me off something fierce...)

I don't understand why they didn't use David Prowse for the face of Darth Vader. He was the man behind the mask in all three films, I think he should've got the glory of it. Surely they could've made up his face with prothstetics and make-up to look like that anyway. David Prowse's face looks more like I imagined as the face behind the mask anyways.

GL felt hayden deserved it since he was playing the character who would become darth vader.

I think he meant for the unmasking scene in 1983, when Hayden was two years old, so I doubt that was the reasoning. ;-)

Cause Prowse's voice and accent would not have matched? The raw audio of Prowse delivering Vader's lines on set sound nothing like James Earl Jones.

Hey, why wasn't James Earl Jones used for the face of Vader! Oh wait, Luke has blonde hair and blue eyes....

Prowses voice in the untouched clips are so funny. LOL

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

Even rough it looks far superior.

This clip reminds me that vader should look outside from side windows and not from front because of the position of the DS

Nice work man, keep them coming
