man they really over did the lightsaber effects in the OT
Adywan, another thing that always bugged me was this:
In this shot it looks like Luke's saber hits Vader's hand.
Is there some way you could fix this?
Easy.
Lol it looks like cloud :P

^In ROTJ, yes. They looked great in ESB.
It has been said before many times by me and others the ESB sabers were pretty much how a saber should look. They were perfect length and they werent thick. ROTJ the saber just looks like it would melt who ever was holding it. If noone can fix the ROTJ sabers then make it as if luke is next to a bonfire when he ignites it. I always imagined lightsabers smelling like burnt oak trees and pine needles.
"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

oh wow. a pine-needle-smelling lightsaber.
That would be AWESOME.
When smello vision comes out. I am gonna make vader smell like wet feet wrapped around leathery burnt bacon just like Robot Chicken. I am gonna make jabba the hutt smell like macaronni and cheese mixed with pizza hut an ode to pizza the hutt. and obi wan will smell like pipe tobbacco and scotch.

u gotta be kidding!? maybe the colonial vipers, but the star tours shuttle? hell no! man that'd just look weird.
Not only should we add the shuttle, we should add as much of REX's dialog as we can.
Boost, I like your thinkin' buddy! I'm right there with you on this one. Vipers, Star Tours, and REX = Perfect version of ROTJ. Now that I am picturing how fantastic it all would be in my head, I am not sure I can ever stand to watch it without those things. Got to have them! That is all there is too it!

Anything that makes lightsabers better I am all for. Can't we add some reflections of the saber to the surrounding walls and Vader's helmet.

^That again? ;)
Nice one, vaderios. I see you straightened the lights on the left side of the elevator, too. :)
Attention: The following edit was first 'released' in the STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION" thread...
This is an idea for ESB that came to me in a vision. I know some people are against cutting away from seeing the love-birds to look at a display of some sort, so I came up with a cool compromise.
(THIS IS PRELIMINARY SCREENIE, AND IS MUCH BETTER IN THE VIDEO)
So, check it out, and see if you like it :)

Dude, I love it. If someone is looking to do a Prequel-influenced saga edition, this is something they should definitely look at.
I just watched it again and I just noticed you added the tibanna gas mines. And you even timed the graphics to Han's button pushing.

aren't the vipers a black sun prototype?

Realized that you knew what I was talking about the whole time. Disregard.

I actually kind of like the changes made to the lightsabers in ROTJ. It is kind of fun to see changes made in every episode, just like Darth Vader's voice and suit. In every movie, Darth Vader's suit and voice is a little different. I think it is cool to see the change and doesn't need explaining. It's just fun to see something subtley different from the last film considering these movies take place years apart. If they all took place within the same day, I would understand the complaint of continuity issues, but they take place years apart.

Is this a comparison between two different versions? Oh by the way, All my images will come from the '04 DVD versions unless specified.
^Vaderios almost always posts the original version on the left, and his fixed/edited version on the right.

What I meant by version was different retail versions on the market. I didn't know vaderios corrected it, I thought he just move to a frame after that one. So vaderios, are you working with Adywan on the Star Wars Revisits?
He does still image mock-ups to illustrate ideas, and he's VERY good at it. I believe some of his mock-ups have inspired aspects of Ady's 'Revisited' projects, but I'm not sure. I'm fairly certain he isn't directly involved, though.

Well, ady used my Hoth matte! Is a start of a long partnership :D

Another thing I would like Adywan to address is the window in the Emperor's throne room. We never see Endore in his window, but based on my observation of its location of the Death Star viewed from the aerial shots, it appears that Endore should be visible in the window sometimes depending on how fast the Death Star orbits the moon. I assume that the Throne room is located right on the top of the north pole of the Death Star. I think in some scenes of the Emperor's throne room, we should see Endore in the Windows. It will make it feel more real and less like a set.
Based on this image, it looks like you should be able to see Endore in the Emperor's throne room window:
I just BS'ed some color in the window to give you an idea of what I think the perspective of what Endore in the window should look like. Hopefully you guys can do much better ;-):
A continuity error in the movie is in this scene here:
At this point in the movie, the Star Destroyes were seperated from the rebel fleet and just being used to block them in. But in this picture it appears the rebel fleet is mixed in with the Star Destroyers. This doesn't happen until after this scene.
You ll be more happy when you know that Ady plan to make ROTJ's space battle bigger that ROTS battle.
So all the dots-ship-crap will gone ;)

Im just saying the ROTJ sabers were way too big Lukes is way way too thick. Vaders is a real skinny pink stick with a huge red blur.
