I'll be disappointed if one of your mockups/mattes isn't IN the movie.  As for me, I just want to know if I pointed out something that otherwise wouldn't have been changed, and knowing that it was me who suggested it.

I'm just looking forward to seeing these films as good as they deserve to be and having a load of fun chatting with pals helping that along.

haha, at least it makes han less pathetic. the whole twig thing was so lame considering that this guy was suposed to be a quick shot!

I tried to make some color correction to the endor.

Not every pic is good or perfect. Just a sample

 

Notice i fix some matte lines from AT-ST but I forgot to post the comparison pic :P I save over it :P

i really like those

 

in LOTR they always tried to push the colour a little unnaturally in order to give an 'otherworld' king of feeling. i think that the over green/dusky colours of endor could do exactly that. i always associate ROTJ with summertime, this has definitely added to that!

 

any chance you could have a crack at a 'creepy' endor colour set? something like tia dalma's shack in POTC2 i mentioned earlier that if the ewoks were given a weird cannibal image that it could give them a believable sinister edge.

This is what should be done to these scenes - I always thought that the OT looks too "Earthly" (a bit like a fanfilm) and not alien at all.

Its not about earth or not.

Its about its like desaturated washed up colors...

The scene is before the end celebration.

Yes a good addition will be some Stormies here and there. I hope to get an R in ratings :P

The weird thing is like Ady sain the colors are so messed up that in some shots it doent need much impovement and to others that is almost impossible...

as opposed to han, luke and chewie being taken for a feast by the ewoks they could be being taken to a ritual sacrifice?

 

maybe some charred storm trooper helmets and clips from the ending of the ewok playing the helmet drums could be cut in.

If there is an option to change the matte of the forest moon from establishing shot i will vote +1

 

Still:

I ve changed the clouds so now to be daylight not afternoon( in the next shots the sky is too bright behind the trees)

Also a bit fix to the matte lines of the shuttle :)

Well amping up the green is like amping up the blue on Hoth which Adywan has corrected so i dunno...

Well what you say has a point, still i believe that the forest need to have some more healthy green instead some washed up greens and cyans ;)

these look loads better vaderios. i prefer the more defined clouds over wispy grey anytime!

 

the problem with AOTC colour was that it was throughout the film. If the over saturation was for a particular planet then it wouldnt be so bad.

Interesting... i never saw the forest color correction as a saturation boost.

Ok next time i will tone the things down a bit ;P

2nd Frame: Desaturation -25%

3d Frame: Desaturation -35%

4th Frame: Desaturation -40%

5th Frame: Original

I like what you are doing here, athough the lighting seems to be all over the map.  I wonder if it would make more sense to have the other death star out in the distance.

Anyone feel like making a mock-up of the rebel briefing with holographic images of the two death stars?
