Actually, I think that would be a FANTASTIC idea: when Luke pulls the mask off and has his last words with his father, to show Sebastian Shaw lean back and fade away.. I think it at least deserves a mock-up video to see how it would come out (Davnes)... >:)
If Vader/Anakin did disappear ala Obi-Wan and Yoda, the suit could still retain its shape due to it containing a skeleton of metal within it (like a slinky, for lack of a better visual explanation), much like a full body endoskeleton, as opposed to Vader just wearing a cloth suit with just a metal chest plate, belt, boots, helmet and shoulder pads.
This concept could be shown when Vader loses his hand to Luke - when his arm is cut off, rather than show a clean abrupt cut with sparking electronics, bits of the outer suit sleeve could come out with the metallic "slinky" support showing underneath the cloth, with metallic "bones" sticking out of the central arm socket, with a mix of flesh and circuits around them (hinting towards a look similar to the smoldering fleshy skeletons of Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru)
The point of this would explain why Luke is carrying Vader's "body" (or in this case, the empty suit) and it still retaining its shape, as opposed to carrying an empty suit, which needlessly wouldn't have nearly the same dramatic effect (imagine Luke taking Vader's empty suit and slinging it over his shoulder before running into the shuttle).
Also, V:
(1) examples of audio FX that can be used for Chewie's gun (Vermithrax's "power up" so to speak) here (at 5:04) , here (start at 2:00 - hmm, that priest sure looks familiar...) and here.
Power up sound would last 1 to 1.5 seconds before firing 2 or 3 spherical blasts. First 2 blasts would be shown in shot with Chewie aiming at scout trooper, with trees exploding around the trooper.
(only need to alter barrel of gun to point towards scout trooper; gun is at right level for Chewie to actually be using the scope to look out of. First 2 shots can hit tree on left and right of ST, can even use new FX to show trees starting to fall down, or at least add sound FX to imply trees beginning to come down due to Chewie's hits)
3rd shot gets him when it cuts away from Chewie to trooper going down in next scene (in fact, one could recreate the scene where Emil gets taken down by Robocop at the gas station - notice how fast Emil flies off his motorcycle. One could show the scout trooper flying off equally fast with added flames on him for added effect)

Speaking of LAPUTA, could this be another alternate idea for the Emperor's palace (with the tower on the top)?:

Also, some ideas for possible rebel ships:
again, minus the flapping wings on the top one (maybe straighten them out?) and minus the propellers and rear wings on the bottom one.
